***Playing for first time in December 2022***

8/10

Facts
-Requires a lot of horsepower to run
-Little to no implementation of verticality.(other than bad civil engineering) This leaves Night City feeling 2D with traveling and gameplay outside of missions being cloned from grand theft auto series.
-A lot of elements of the game feel like they're intended extend content in duration while offering a little immersion. This is fine in the main mission when the drama keeps you on the edge of your seat, but it gets old fast in the rest of the game. I.e. waiting for your car to pull up, driving said car or walking to a fast travel point, sitting down in every conversation, etc...

Opinions
-I strongly dislike the stylized choice to have boring conventional GTAesque driving in this game at all, it was a costly one that could have easily been replaced with more interesting modes of travel. Flying cars, flying limos, flying cabs, flying V(seriously; parkour or cyber ware that makes you Spiderman), subways or hell even flying trains. I like being able to explore the entire city--except I can't--I'm limited to an ants view for 95% of the game. These resources would have been better spent on longer main and side quests, more 3D gameplay or even more romance and genital options.

-There is a weird emphasis on genitals in the character creator, which seems to be completely irrelevant, you don't really see them after that. The cutscenes are pretty softcore, which is fine, I guess, but, why even...
Anyway someone at CDPR likes flaccid male genitals, because there's 6 different variants of that and 1 female and 1 blank.

-I'm excited to play the expansions to this game, but I'm kind of hoping they'll just charge me again to add all the features I wished the base game originally had.
