Pretty good so far, the running animation is hella smooth and the hearts/shield pickups are very forgiving around the half way marks.

Perhaps a hard mode that gives more xp that doesn't include power ups? Maybe having another person join you? (a line up of 5-6 people would be hella funny and would attract content creators)
