TL:DR
Don’t use Project Nimbus to compare with Nimbus Infinity. Project Nimbus took Pawee (The original 1-man-developer before GCT and GameTomo) around 3 years to get to what it is today. Nimbus Infinity is a new game that needs a lot of time to improve. And there is great room to improve.

I have been playing ever since the alpha access of Project Nimbus in 2014 (the first game initially did not connect to steam, so my playtime is very low on record), and I played every mission as soon as it came out. So I kinda watched the team and the game grow for quite a few years already. I hope my review here can be somewhat helpful to new players to the series or return players from PN.

First off, the graphics are stunning. Not a Great Leap Forward from PN, but still an improvement. However, be warned. It is demanding for low end computers. I have tested on an 1050 and It runs smoothly, but only if everything is low/off and when I’m flying in the sky without too much happening in the surroundings.

Secondly, I see Game CrafterTeam is trying a new approach on the story telling, but it’s weird. It is a nice way to spice things up for the series, but the jump from shooter game to 2D anime-style story game is… weird. I mean, it took me a minute to know that the scene is interact-able. Last second I was a ubereats delivery man, next second I’m on a 2D story game. And then I’m suddenly flying a military grade battle frame and shooting enemies like a war veteran. Man, that escalated quickly. I know my girlfriend was a war hero who shot down evil AI trying to destroy the world 21 years ago, unless the story will progress with fillers later on, that abrupt change on the character in the first five minute is weird. Then again, I’m not saying the story is bad, it’s just the way of presentation is weird, after all these years playing in the PN universe and subconsciously defaulting it as a shooting game only.

Thirdly, and the most important one of all (especially to PN returners), DO NOT use PN dogfight style to compare with NI. It’s a whole new game. If you do so, NI is a bad game. For instance, you don’t get continuous auto lock like in PN (which I personally think makes the game more challenging and fun, and I like the change). Your lock will disengage if the enemy flies behind you.

Another example is the map size. I’m not sure if NI maps are larger than that in PN, but you can hardly see the enemies in this game. Larger maps are great, but dogfights usually happen in a small area only, and the first mission even encourages melee! Large map dogfights always results in player chasing AI for a 1second close-quater dogfight before the chase resumes. (That came from an old PN players’ mouth. Trust me) it is also demanding for some users on top of the already stunning graphics.

However, if you consider NI is a separate game built in PN universe, NI is totally a great game. I’m not gonna comment on weapon balance and battle frame armaments, as this is just early access and everything can change. (Although I must comment, the missiles sucked as usual. Even a good cannon burst deal more damage) It has new/completely different dogfight style compared to PN. It also features 2D anime-style cutscene - a new way of telling story. That’s a great improvement from PN’s enemies-exploded-around-you-while-the-comms-progressed-the-story-telling-without-you-noticing.

In conclusion, I don’t want to give a “Not recommended” review because of the changes in the play style, or the weapon balance, or the performance issue. Because this is really, a new game. And although I don’t like some of the changes, I still think it is a great game. Give it some time to improve. PN took 3 years, and it’s just Day 3 of NI’s early access.

If you have played GunBound or other similar 2D artilliery games, this should be easy for you to pick up and master.... Apart from the over 100 types of weapons and different attack scheme that you'll need to get used to. AND the reflecting shields. AND the portals. AND the teleportation pick up. AND the shots that come from your teammates. AND a couple of other explosive stuffs such as frogs, chicken thigh, and cats.

Yes. Explosive cats. You read that right

Apparently cats are dangerous in this game.

I r8 this game a 8/8 because the awp shots in this game is more powerful than the pre-nurf R8 in CSGO.

City building game at its maximum. Nuff said.

SimCity 4 was cool, but you can't actually manage much, and you get yourself traffic problem easily without overpass mods.
SimCity 5 has new stuff, such as sewage (sh*t), which was okay. There were also improvements such as allowing players to build flyovers and tunnels, but the huge downside was that city was simply too small and you can't do much about it.

Now Cities: Skylines is like... the top of the food chain, or, a new step in evolution.

Contentwise:

Pros
They've got good old stuff coming back and improved such as:
- Roads of all types (flyovers that SC4 lacks, and highways that SC5 lacks, and even better ones like roads with bus lane, roads with tree AND MORE!)
- Most commonly used transportations (Bus, subway, boat, train, planes and even taxi stands!)
- BIG city maps! (A 2km x 2km block for the start, then unlocks up to 9 blocks as your city grows. Modded ones can go up to 25 blocks.)

They've also added cool new stuff such as:
- MORE ROADS! (Can't find any road system that fits your city type? Build your own and save it into the game so that you can use it anywhere else repeatedly!)
- Manage your transportation! (Stop your buses from travelling back and forth between downtown and uptown and plan the route properly yourself!)
- Separat your offices from the noisy commercials!
- And speaking of which, the noise pollution!
- Cementary full and got no place to bury dead bodies? Stop going to the 2nd page of Google. There's a new way to deal with it in Cities: Skylines!
- Build a hydroelectric dam, then plan your city near the river. Done? Now flood it by destroying the dam! (Just kidding, but you can actually do that in Cities: Skylines! Please, don't do that and play properly :P)
- AND MORE THAT I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL YOU

Cons:
-Gonna miss the neon lights and street lights and your whole city's night view if you don't have the After Dark DLC

That was the major setback. Can't think of other cons...

General stuff:
Runs okay on my sh*tty 2009 iMac with OSX 10.9 and low graphics.
Tons of mods available by the community
Addictive. Just so addictive. Racked up 31 hours of gameplay in 5 days.

Now go press the "Add to Cart" button.

-Fond of music games
-Knew about Audiosurf years and years ago but never actually played before
-I was with a computer system nutorious for not compatable to 85% of the games out there. (Something starts with M and ends with C, with an A in between) Was super glad that AS2 is compatable with this platform.
-Starts playing and was super happy to find that it runs smoothly on 10.9 even though it says 10.10 was the minimum requirement
-Got confused for a moment with other music games, in which this one requires you to miss some notes in order to fill in the grid perfectly for a higher score, instead of attempting a high max. chain/high max. combo/full chain/full combo for the max. score.
-Get the hang of the game within 2 hours (1.9 hours on record right now)
-$15? I could save $1000 by playing this instead of going to the arcade and play music games there.

Oh, on a side note, WARNING: If you have epilepsy, take care!

CS:GO 评测
In serious mode:

Holding AWP and sees an enemy with AK. Aim at body and misses all shots. Then you die from a skilled one-tap headshot.

In lazy mode:

Holding Negev and W+M1-ing. Aim at floor and all your bullets will become headshots. Then you get an ACE. (i.e.: land the killing shot on every enemy)

In troll mode:

Sees enemy rush the same place for 3 rounds.
Holding the X27 and camp at the entrance where they usually rush in.
Camping. Camping. Camping. Camping. Camping. Camping. Camp....
This usually ends in 2 results, namely:
When you are on T side, Bomb has been defused - Counter-Terrorist Win!
When you are on CT side, BOOOOOOMMMMMM! - Terrorist WIn!

This is why CS:GO is fun. Enjoy!

New Update:
Better graphics, missiles now visible, and many other minor improvements, but FPS improved even on full screen of my sh**ty Mac. Great job!! (Though it could have been even more smoother, but it's acceptable now)
New story mode, yay!! Exciting!!

And we finally received a decent update. Long live TF2! Another 10 years have yet to come!
