Pretty good. Mechanics with a nice level of depth, fun weapons and classes, and great devs

This game made me look up beaver facts, and now they're one of my favorite animals. 10/10 would play again

I only got it a week ago, and I already have all of the achievements. I've had more fun out of this game than most AAA titles in recent years, and this game is only $3. The Dev updates the game pretty often from what I can tell. Worth every penny

I was one-shot through a wall by the new final boss. That combined with the new zone which is pretty much comprised of enemies that can one-shot you because of their on-death effect. Hard to find it fun anymore

I don't know what I expected, but ALL of the online events are literally pay-to-win

Everything about this game is a slog. The melee combat sucks and is boring. The enemy variety sucks, and it feels like they rely on enemy spam to make tense fights. Top Dogs suck and are copy pasted every time.

Vehicle combat is boring, and vehicle customization is lackluster. The driving is good and actually quite fun, but the vehicle combat played out the same pretty much every time

The story is just bad, and Max is as bland as white bread.

Your sidekick, Chum-Bucket (literally his name), is annoying as hell, and doesn't shut up. He also wants to ♥♥♥♥ your car, so there's that.

Resource management is non-existent (y'know, in a universe where resource management is literally life or death).

Just a bad experience almost the whole time

I actually really like this DLC. Is the rogue-lite part of it kind of cheap? Yeah. The only thing that happens when you die is the outposts get reset, all the orc captains respawn, and you have to reacquire skill points, rehire mercenaries, and get new weapon modifications. That all sounds like a lot, but it's really not. Perhaps it's because I'm only on my second run, but the fights don't take long.
You can kill a captain in less than a minute, and you can take down the last outpost (which is supposed to be the hardest) in less than 10 minutes. Once you complete the story (you don't have to do it again, don't worry), you get access to a discount, for hiring mercenaries, that goes up to 50% off, so getting new ones is easy and you'll be floating gold pretty quickly. The weapon modifications are a bit iffy, imo. Some feel fantastic to use, and some are useless. For example: You can get a modification for your ranged weapon that causes headshots to also cause frost explosions. The problem is that you can also shoot fire bolts, which causes them to defrost. Also, I've seen it freeze a captain maybe once, and you can't take advantage of it like Talion can, you only smack them like once or twice and they unfreeze.
Another difference between this DLC and the main game would have to be the way the skill system is treated, and honestly I prefer it this way. The way it works is like so: You can get blue skills that you find throughout the world that carry over every play-through. But the thing I enjoy about it is, is that every skill you get is equipped at the same time. It makes it feel nice to actually upgrade, instead of only getting the ones you want and never unlocking the others for anything other than Celebrimbor challenge quest like in the main game. No, every skill can be unlocked and used at the same time, giving you an actual reason to unlock new skills. The main story of Desolation of Mordor is actually enjoyable, if a bit short. It'll only take you 1 or 2 hours to do, but the characters are great (my favorite is Serka).

This game is garbage. I haven't played in 5 years, and I don't see my save file. Couldn't even keep my save file from when it was in early access. 0/10 literally unplayable

Love it. Took me back to my childhood, when my favorite thing in the Halo games was to just explore, and see what I could find. My only problem with the MCC, is some of the weird keybinds. Like in Halo 3, while dual wielding, for some reason the button to fire the other gun was K, rather than right click (I changed it back to right click). Still great though
