A true beauty of a game. If you are capable of empathy at all, this game will make you feel feelings to depths you may have never felt. While there is amazing storywork, the Director does not shy away from some serious philosophizing over the experiences that a being may have. It's hard to truly explain how great this game is in my mind.
The combat is quick and responsive, and values learning your enemy's combat patterns. Most of what you're going to be doing is hack-and-slash, you'll be watching out for those enemies to occasionally attack and then if you're decent you can just counter them, or perfect dodge.
The game has several different genres, and being prepared to switch between them is important. If you're garbage at bullet hell, prepare to fail, a lot. That said, I'm not that great at bullet hell and got through just fine.
The models are exquisite, though their mouth animations when emoting could have used a little bit more work.
Be prepared to play through multiple times for the full and complete story.
Absolutely one of my favorite games of this year and in general.
