Disclaimer: I mostly play survivor (max rank 1)
(ive also played killer to at least rank 10)

+ playing survivor is fun, get chased, hide. i mostly solo que (make your goal buying time for teammates, NOT surviving)
+ get bloodpoints (exp) whether you win or lose
+ playing killer can be fun if you just play for points (make your goal 2 kills)

- playing killer can be stressfull if you try to kill all 4 survivors each game or try a challenge/achievement
- can feel grindy at times for bloodpoints (exp)
- you need a lot of bloodpoints to get good perks which appear randomly

+ pvp mostly
+ amazing crafting, building, survival
+ bow fights

- i've seen cheaters, gotten screwed by them, depends on the server
