Challenging and fun man vs machine FPS game set in soviet Russia. Mix of open world and complex areas. Neat story, a *lot* of dialog. Main character has some slightly cringe-worthy speech patterns which are explained deep in the game and other characters are well done. Some Bioshock vibes here. Good pacing and cool/balanced skills/weapons/etc with room for creative play. No buggy issues. Wish the game had made its save-location concept and how foes are quickly resurrected more obvious in the beginning - once you get the way things work it really keeps you on your toes, but at first it's very frustrating. Other issue I had is some of the (less important) keys are not re-mappable, but this didn't get in the way of enjoying it. A solid game that is well setup for a sequel - which I'll happily play if one appears. 8/10 if you like FPSs.

Didn't get into the multiplayer, but the single player campaign is a ton of fun and like being in a military sci-fi movie. Solid entertainment here.

A worthy finale to the Dishonored series. Billie Lurk is fantastically realized and as unlikely a character as you might ever get to play. This third installment stays true to the play-your-way style of the previous two. The maps are incredibly detailed and a delight to explore. I only wish there was more, but this final chapter satisfies and wraps it all up.

Solid game. Fantastic stories. Characters you can care about. No bugs. It's satisfying that not only do the things you get done make a difference in the setting, but they are recognized and appreciated by other characters in the game. Having post-game quests that wrapped-up loose ends was icing on the cake. Seems like the developers were not only experienced, but also really cared about making an all-around great game that didn't cut corners.

The maps and strategy becomes a bit stale if you're going to pick something like a heavy weapons focus, but there is challenge and tactical opportunities here to enjoy. With a wide variety of character options, deep mechanics, level mixers, a lengthy and fully voiced campaign, ongoing seasonal and weekly challenges, multiplayer clans and co-op play, WH40k Martyr has a lot to offer. In 300 hours over two months of play I haven't encountered a single bug. Finally, all DLC can be earned in game with Fate points, which is nice.

Maybe this game is good? I'll never know because it comes across as a crappy console port with aggravating menus and terrible controls. Was not able to get my controller to work with it (standard xbox/PC controller) and the keyboard controls don't appear to be mappable. After searching online community boards for help I gave up. I shouldn't have to work to fix what the developer was too lazy to do themselves.

This is the fast footed, skill rewarding shooter I was hoping for. No Doom 3 plodding jump scares. This is the maximum throttle, true sequel to the originals, full of thrills and new mechanics that keep it fresh without getting in the way of the gib action.
