This review focuses on the main story only, but includes spoilers and possible bugs or glitches.

Overall, I liked the game and what it had to offer with what LEGO has done previously.

Amazing / cool things
  • Any and all appearances of Stan Lee.
  • Interesting additional sequences
  • Background event consistency
Particularly for 'No Strings On Me' where Falcon and Captain America play pool after you construct the table And have it actually play out like pool..
  • Good selection of lines used from movies (where possible...)
  • Good comedic effect
  • Accurate scene recreation

Drawbacks
  • Starts in Sokovia, finishes with credits after Battle of New York.
  • Thor and Captain America use shield smash before the player is introduced to it in 'Shakespeare in the park'
  • Timeline chronology appears inconsistent when jumping between Age of Ultron (MCU 2015) and Avengers 1 (MCU 2012)
  • Continues after 1st credits back in Sokovia (for Ready A.I.M. Fire) shortly after Battle of New York (but wasn't made clear to me until I was in the level itself, or if i was blind i'd notice be half way through).
  • Continues thereafter into Age of Ultron.
  • Switching between characters of the same type is not made clear for 'No Strings On Me' (or rather I am forced to find it for that level).
  • Switching back to a civilian version of a character is not possible unless done through Free Play.
  • No full size map in free play.

Bugs / Glitches / Sidenotes
  • In 'Anger Management', when accessing the panel the player is supposed to cloak themselves using Black Widow. It is possible to reach the panel, despite being detected by the camera and the door is closed.
  • On 'Barton's Farm', An axe can be heard from the movie audio when you take the axe item to the chopping log. (Minor)
  • ------
  • Website linked to store page has either never existed or no longer redirects to the correct page.

Early Access Review
Easy to learn, impossible to master.

Multiplayer adds a new level of social interaction. Like minecraft but with more freedom whilst still applying some restrictions.

The Level Editor includes pretty much every model on all of the levels already made, which means there are even more possiblities for creations on the workshop.

I look foward to the future releases of besiege.
