There's a ton of little things that annoy me about this game. Some are design choices, many are going to be patched out over time i guess, and some will remain. Either way, "fixed" or not, this game stands out as one of the best I've played in years. It's a worthy successor to KCD1 and a shining, quality game in the mixed sea of mediocrity and garbage out there.

Early Access Review
Unfortunately not much to the gameplay in this little indie game, and no atmosphere to make up for it. Not enough mechanics for a dungeon crawler. After one hour I feel I know exactly what the rest of the 25 advertised hours will look like, and its kinda bleak. Only pick up for a very steep discount.

Awesome little coop game! Great with some good friends and a couple hours of time, hope to see some more content added for replayability!

The converted it to the THPS3 engine making gameplay a lot faster. I played THPS2 when it came out, I'm an old man now, can't keep up with this... In all seriousness though, why are they changing things if this is supposed to be a remake?

This is probably a perfectly fine little game for a steep discount, but just once I'd like to see a supply chain manager game not hiding production and consumption rates. Yes, I can calculate rates from the production duration and the production yield, but why? Having to calculate them at every corner is tedious even with the best UI, and RoI's doesn't hold up at all.

This is absolute garbage. I got it for free, and still consider refunding it.
I don't even feel like listing the thousand things that are wrong with the "game", just google it and you will know the only reason it gets positive reviews is edgy youtubers and trolls.

It goes without saying that this game is the best city builder on the market these days. It does however also make you go "just one more round!" like no other game. The problem is there are no rounds, and its 4 AM. Help!

Initially interesting due to the visuals, and somewhat novel/under-used survival mechanics, this game just does not click, at least not for me. I don't understand where all the praise comes from. It feels thrown together, and ridiculously old for a game released in 2019, both in world design and gameplay. Graphics are meh.

There is a tutorial that explains a bare minimum of mechanics, but no guidance on how these mechanics interact, how to acquire skills, and even what skills you can learn to begin with, or where to apply them.
All this would be totally fine, if the game was interesting enough to make me want to learn. However, the wilderness is filled only with enemies that lack any interaction besides killing them, and tbh, in the beginning most of them will actually kill you, before you even know it. Upon death, you get dropped by an invisible samaritan either in a town or random place miles away at best, or you lose items due to being captured by bandits at worst. That happens a lot, and repeatedly, and without revealing a way to learn on how to do better in the future other than running away. The landscape is at times beautiful, but feels completely sterile and empty despite the numerous enemies. The cities have two handfuls of NPCs, but again, you cant interact with anybody but the traders and VIPs, and those interactions consist of fetch quests and bad, repeating, vocalization.

In conclusion, the game simply feel dead. After less than 10h, I don't know why I should keep playing. Try it out during a sale if you have some money to burn, but prepare to be underwhelmed.

This game is a gem! I haven't played a game with this sort of intelligent puzzles since Portal. If you like old-style computers, robots, and origami, this is definitely a must play!

There is lots I am missing from the original, such as the long drives that familiarize you with the city you are supposedly living in your whole live already. Having to learn stealing new cars, bringing home your latest car-crush and seeing them all in the garage. I also don't know why the Devs decide to make a remake of a game, but put in unnecessary changes, like altering the access to Salieri's bar, or change streets around. Making Pauli and Sam look a lot younger than they were in the original. Every single one of those details by itself may not be a big thing, but in summary they are very noticable, and detract quite a bit from the nostalgia and emotion I had when I played the original so many years ago.
Nevertheless, its a good game, and a remake a lot more true to the original than many others these days. The graphics don't blow me away, but they are pretty. Car handling is beautiful although at times difficult. Buy at a discount.
