Early Access Review
Great aesthetic, fun diversion. Its just a fun environment to mess around in for a little while. Would love this as a Steam Home environment. Teleport would be appreciated by those of us with small or non-existent room-scale areas, but I managed to work things without breaking a lamp. WMR worked fine.

Unfortunately tagged VR by the community, but it isn't SteamVR. There does appear to be a VR mode but it seems headset exclusive. I'd probably have had a great time in VR, but just not something I want to play on screen.

Bored. Maybe you need to be drunk. Janky and monotonous gameplay.

Puzzles quickly give way to puzzle platforming, and frustration at the terrible controls. Not worth the frustration to continue far in, which is unfortunate as it does look lovely. Someone spent a lot of time designing and assembling this, but it seems like they forgot to play it.

Completely bored, totally uninspired to see if there is anything more to the hype. Maybe you'll persevere if you go dewy eyed for 'retro' games out to remind us how bad the games were back in the day.

Huge time sink. What it lacks in polish it makes up for in scale. There have been free updates for years and one gameplay DLC, but for people wanting to play the 'complete' version development should be wrapping up in a couple of months with one final DLC.

I cannot recommend this for purchase, but maybe worth a try if you pick it up in a bundle.

Multiplayer no longer works, and accessing the DLC content requires tracking down the 'unofficial' 300MB fix, as the 'official' fix from 2013 no longer works. You can play the base game without this stuffing around if you like, or probably get a refund if you paid for it since the store claims of included DLC are untrue.

Gameplay is fun for a few levels. However, it quickly becomes apparent that the levels are all going to have the same flawed gameplay. Within seconds of starting the level, you are relentlessly pumled from all sides. Over several restarts, if you work out the trick or somehow cheese through the opening to actually build a few units to defend yourself, then there is no effective opposition and the level is a walkover. This does not seem intentional, but rather that the gameplay mechanics were changed after the levels were designed and the result is broken. My suspicion is that events and enemies intended to be delayed until some player action are instead acceidently being triggered immediately.
