This game is a mockery of the Soulcalibur series of fighting games. This entry represents everything wrong with current trends in gaming, as a previously rich and relatively niche fighting game is now riddled with DLC, released additionally with a single-player experience akin to indie games that are currently in alpha or beta status. If you grew up playing Soul Calibur II, III, or IV, having had experiences with games rife with content and strategic exploration, you will likely be severely disappointed with this entry.

This game rides on the crutch of character customization that has been crippled from previous entries, with customization items missing and only returning unimproved (in terms of adhering to character models), alongside game-retroactive DLC character releases. Avoid this game at all costs, as Bandai Namco has shown that it prefers quick cash grabs to its previously content-rich videogame releases, with this rehash showing that true fans come second to the decisions of upper-management teams' shallow metric-oriented wishes. The only overarching achievements of this game are new lows in character design and in-game chat censorship, with the character Grøh mildly surpassing Z.W.E.I. from Soul Calibur 5 in terms of pure anime-induced cringe, and the utter inability to type simple words into the "free chat" without getting censored.

This game cured my cerebral palsy.

In all seriousness though, this game is great fun cooperatively with friends, even more so with randomized controls (with players used to making similar inputs). The story is simplistic and silly while the game revolves around simple physics-based puzzle fun.

You'd have to be some sort of savant to be good at this game.
