The first Talos Principle is one of my favourite games, and when I initially saw the trailer for the sequel I was cautiously optimistic at best due to believing that the first game came to a nice conclusion and stood on its own perfectly well, I did not think a sequel necessary.

After having now 100% completed Talos 2 I can confidently say the above statement holds true. That being said I'm glad the sequel was made because as far as sequels go they don't get much better, everything here is on par with if not better then its predecessor.

The puzzles while slightly easier here are far more varied with new and interesting tools. As a puzzle game alone it holds its own among the best of the genre, but the story and writing much like the first title is a major highlight, with a far larger cast of interesting characters this time around and way more audio logs, all of which is excellently voiced.

Any complaint I have is such a nitpick it seldom even begs mentioning really. If you love the first game this one is a must play, highly recommend.

I let this gem sit on the backlog for way too long, was a joy to play.

Everything was exceptionally well done, well written with great characters and voice acting, consistent and solid art direction, and anything else I could think to mention is just great. Easily one of if not the best point&click adventure games I've played, simply a b'soding good time.

Highly recommend.

While it is often janky, it undeniably has charm and character.

Some of the best and most detailed environmental storytelling I've experienced and a great soundtrack to go along with it. And the photography gameplay is just quite fun.

One of my fav games this year.

The puzzles can be quite easy but they utilize some fun and very interesting mechanics and introduce them gradually as you progress to keep you engaged. And it's got a neat story with some great voice acting to boot.

A bit on the short side, took me 5h and that's with 100% achievements, your mileage may vary and whether or not there is enough content here to justify the pricetag is up to you, but whats here is quality.

Do recommend.

Finished Outer Wilds more then 4 months ago now and I still think about it regularly, no other piece of media has had quite the same impact on me, truly an unforgettable experience. I can only really echo what everyone else says and say that if you are at all interested then go play it, the less you know the better.

That being said... You might struggle to enjoy Outer Wilds initially, the lack of concrete direction the game provides can make it difficult for things to click, and the need to go in as blind as possible can be a bit of a double-edged sword. It is very easy to bounce off this game and not give it a second thought, but I promise you if you stay patient and give this absolute gem the time and attention it deserves, you may very well have a new favourite game.

I dont typically buy artbooks/soundtracks, but this genre is absolutely amazing and the developer has done a brilliant job with this game. I feel obligated to support it.

Take my money Mimimi.

A very welcome entry to a genre that has been dead for over a decade, If you remember playing Commandos/Desperados and you enjoyed them, this is definitely worth your time/money.
Game runs flawlessly, beautiful artstyle, brilliant soundtrack, amazing characters. It wins in every area.

But don't take my word for it, theres a demo that lasts about 1.5 hours. So go try it for yourself. ;)
