So as of 26/09/20 I can actually run the game at an acceptable frame rate after the hot fix (1.01) was released, its still not at a point where its perfect, but I can actually try and play the game. Keep in mind that I have an RTX 2080, an i7-8700k, and 32GB Ram so running the game shouldnt really have been an issue in the first place, but I digress.

Im only about three missions in, so this is only my VERY initial impression, but so far the gun play feels very solid which is exactly what im looking for in a Serious Sam game. As long as the game continues this way with the other weapons, and I dont run into any major bugs, i'll leave this review positive, as I appreciate the devs hot fixing it so fast.

I needed this in my life 10/10. Please add support for the model to dance to audio from any running application (I want them to dance to my browser audio xD)

An amazingly beautiful and relaxing game that was flawless during every second I played it. Even being someone who is deathly afraid of the ocean, I adored the experience, and my heart rate only went up a couple times during deep sea sections and areas with very open ocean haha. I couldn't recommend this experience enough!

Very impressive visuals, would highly recommend a quick download and play. There is unfortunately quite a limited exploration area, but what you do get looks stunning.

This tech demo does actually have an objective too, and can be completed, you are tasked with finding a camera, and taking pictures of certain areas around the map to unlock the final area. I will not say any more than that however.

I managed to finish the whole thing in 30 minutes, and that's including starting over once more to grab a couple of screenshots, but for free, it a worth while experience!

Update - 27/11/20:
This game is one of those examples of a piece of media you feel was almost made exactly for you. This title really resonates with me in every possible way, I love every aspect of it. I havent had much time to play enough nearly as much of this game as I would like to, but when the 1.0 version of this game drops, I will be very excited to jump back in.

If you love Junji Ito or H.P. Lovecraft you will adore this title as much as I do.

Old Review:
Being in early access, I didn't expect much from this game quite yet, however I was intrigued by the premise. I have to say, so far, I am pleasantly surprised! Much more content that I imagined. I was prepared to sit down and play for 30 minutes, maybe half an hour, when suddenly nearly four hours passed! I will look forward to seeing what gets added to this title in the weeks to come.

I will recommend this game, as I know how great it is because of my time with it on the PS4 Pro. PLEASE keep in mind though that it truly isnt optimised as of now (06/12/19) and unless you have a very strong PC build (I have an RTX 2080 and an i7-8700K with 32GB RAM) you will have a hard time getting this game to run with a good frame rate.

I just finished this game and wow, just wow. Im so impressed by everything that this game does, it is certainly my biggest and most pleasant surprise of the year by far!

The balance of stealth, puzzles and combat is just perfect and I never got bored of any single one of these components. Not only that but the story is fantastic, every time I had to put down the game I would be wondering about how the story would develop next.

This game has earned a huge recommendation from me and I would urge anyone to pick it up and play it through to the end!

DOOM + Mad Max = Rage 2. A game that makes you feel powerful right from the get go with guns that feel weighty and powerful.
