At time of writing, my only other review is for ace combat 7 in which I loved it and wanted more. This game perfectly scratched that itch giving me a bunch more missions to play.
The game is incredible value for money, highly recommend.
My only gripe is a lack of checkpoints, some missions are quite long and being sent back to the start when on a normal difficulty can be a little frustrating but at the same time I did enjoy it as a bit of a challenge

I wasn't sure about getting this at first but I took then chance and am delighted I did. I had never played an ace combat game before, closest I had tried was heatseaker on wii or star fox way back on N64.
This game completely hooked me. The cutscenes scripts are a bit corny but do build a story that keeps you interested. The in-flight comms from friendly and enemy planes are awesome and make you feel like a badass that rules the sky.
The general gameplay loop feels great and there are far more planes and customisable parts than I could try in a single playthrough...and I found myself jumping right in again after completing it.
I really enjoyed, and was happy with the length of the campaign...but I want more! :D
