Played this from the date of release through the first two years it was out, and thought it was a ridiculous piece of junk. That was on PS4.

On PC (Nobara38), it's still pretty buggy, but it's significantly better, as you might expect. Playing a full rotation of the maps is a great way to spend a few hours.

There are at least two 60+player servers I can access with <100 ping at all times, and tons of servers in Japan and Germany. The game will fade, but it's a blast for now.

8/10

A great sequel to the original. Nails the balance between a patient tactical squad shooter and a more arcade style game with faster paced action. While the whole game is great, the coop is where it shines most and the game is at its best. You can play it as fast or as slow as you want and the game will match, challenge, and reward you. Awesome selection of tools to work with and the attachments to match. Very highly recommended.

Not bad. I like Ground Branch more. This is similar, just not as good. 7-8/10

It's so fun. The graphics, the gameplay, the crazy inappropriate voice chat - all awesome. With a rifle that shoots 3 rounds per minute max, the gameplay naturally forms into realistic line battles and bayonet charges. Just stay with your company, listen to your commanding officers, and fire mass volumes of rounds with the men standing next to you and you'll be in great shape.

Reminds me of an old Revolutionary War mod for Half Life called Battle Grounds that I used to love.

Easily recommended.

Played for like 10 minutes and it's already better than 2042

Something else. There's nothing else like it. Advances gaming in degree of intensity and realism. The inclusion of real footage, real (deceased) enemies like Zarqawi and Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and real Marines who fought in the battle is crazy. Historically it gets everything right. It's like playing the footage coming out of Fallujah in 2004. Major throwback.

Still in early access with room to grow, but will change the industry. Highly recommended with a big caution to Veterans with PTSD. This could easily trigger some ♥♥♥♥.

Last time I played this series it was on a Playstation Demo Disc from whenever that came out. This one is way better than I remember.

History, exploration, guns, awesome graphics, and sensible mechanics.

A long time ago I used to hangout every weekend at a friend of mine's house named Patrick Eblen, and we would stay up for days on end running coop missions in one of the early Ghost Recon iterations on the original Xbox. Local multiplayer, split screen, classic binge gaming with Arizona iced teas and fruit snacks.

Well, I just loaded up the single player campaign of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint on PC about 20 years later, trekked a few hundred meters through helicopter crash sites and dense woods, up through a mountain pass, holding my fire for every enemy AI along the way. Equipped with an H&K .45, standard M4, and an AR10 style .308 designated marksman rifle, I came across a cave hidden behind a camouflaged net, and found a hidden city built into a cave system waiting for me. A friendly AI came running down a mountain directly towards me with a name of pepper42, and had a style of running characteristic of a real player.

Fired up the typical chat buttons, found the one that worked, sent out a global message, and it turns out pepper42 wasn't a bot, but a real person, in my single player game. Turns out multiplayer and coop are built into the campaign, and it took me a good 20 minutes of gameplay before I realized it. At this point I decided this game has to be dope, and I wrote this review.

Make sure to use DX11 if Vulkan is giving you crap and buy this game, on sale right now for -80% off at the crisp price of $11.99. It's worth every cent, despite the mixed reviews. Do it for the coop. No one does it better than Ghost Recon. If you don't have the cash or aren't willing to spend it, and you aren't a complete stranger to me: shoot me a message. I'll gladly buy it for you so I can have some coop teammates back. Patrick survived Afghanistan in Army Special Forces, and is out being a nuclear physicist in Idaho now.

Alt-Tabbing back to the game now.

Arcade style flight sim and dogfighting is fun as hell and easy to get into. Non-stop action with a wide variety of aircraft to choose from. Everything from A-10 Warthogs to the mythical "Darkstar" from Top Gun Maverick. Not to mention F-14s, F-22 Raptors, F-18s, Sukhoi Su-57s, and many more available in the Steam store. I recommend buying the Ultimate Edition instead of buying aircraft and DLC packs individually from the Steam Store. The Ultimate Edition can be had for $20 on ♥♥♥.

I'm still new to the game so I'll update this review later once I complete it, but I'm giving it a 10/10 for now solely because of its great graphics, realistic flight controls, and out-of-the-box compatibility with a wide variety of joysticks. I'm playing with a Logitech X52 Flight Control System (X52 Hotas), with separate hands on throttle and display, and a combat oriented joystick for gun cannons and a variety of missiles for all mission types. This is the ONLY game I've tried that didn't require creating profiles and manually mapping flight controls. The defaults are sensible, and everything just works.

I would not recommend it if you don't have a good joystick. Flying with a keyboard and mouse is lame and not fun.
