Is there a prescribed length of time that magically turns a casual gamer into a real gamer? I got my first NES when I was six and developed an addiction to 2D platformers that I've never been able to shake. Adventure games (especially King's Quest VI, Freddy Pharkas, and The 7th Guest) came next. Rhythm games and fast twitch puzzle games filled out the rest of my dance card. Anything more complex than that and I get a little intimidated (I ♥♥♥♥ at shooters and 3D mazes make me dizzy), but I'm up for a challenge if the wind is right.
