This game is everything I'd ever hoped for in a Halo-like MMO. In fact--it is, in every sense of the phrase, the spiritual successor to the Halo franchise.

I waited for YEARS for this to happen, and now that it has, I almost can't believe it. It brings back all the countless hours of fun I've enjoyed thanks to the great minds from good ol' Ensemble. The companies who worked to remake it did a great job, and even added a few tweeks of their own, which enhanced it in my opinion. It can overtax your system though, with the new largest map and 500 pop. cap., but it still runs great. All in all, its a very good remake, and is worth paying for.

Early Access Review
It's still very glitchy, but to only be in Alpha 5, its pretty dang good. Biggest problem I have seen is the 'Connect To Server' menu. Sometimes glitches out and you have to shut everything down, short of your computer to fix it. All in all, I love it. Best zombie killing game, and in some ways, better than Minecraft. AMAZING crafting system and physics system. The amount of realistic stuff in this game is astounding, and it can only get better. I'm really looking forward to zombie bears. I backed this game in Kickstarter right after it was Greenlight, so I've seen it come a long way. Not as far as some though. Thanks to The Fun Pimps for working so hard! You've done great by me! :)

Updating for Alpha 16. With almost 500 hours in game, I've got to say that this is one of my all time favorites. Single or Multi, it's a grind. I usually don't like to grind, but this game is just such a challenge and a reward that I can't stop playing. I'm on day 48 in my current game and barely have enough iron to make steel tools. Everytime I start to do good, some freak of nature in this brutal game brings me back down. But still I rise. So much replayability, and with new updates being added every few months or so, I always have new things to learn.

Update for Alpha 20. I'm coming up on 1,000 hours now, and I can still say that this is my go-to game. These past few updates have really added a lot to the game. The world is much more beautiful and is filled with places to explore. Gameplay is also much more rewarding. I've never played much online, mostly just a solo world or with a couple of friends, but lately I've been playing some PVP. This is an aspect of the game I had never dreamed would be so fun. The ability of this game to offer something different to every player depending on the goal is incredible. My recommendation to people unhappy with the game is to spend some time adjusting the settings. At default settings I tend get bored and give up, but I've figured out what settings to adjust to achieve maximum enjoyment for me personally.
