fishing is one of my favourite mini games in any game i play, and the fact that the fishing in this game is so janky is..........very disappointing. i want to fish :(

everything else has been pretty fun though

every major update theyve put out for this game has improved the game in ways i didnt even think the game needed to be improved upon

i have nothing negative to say about this game; its fantastic- especially for an early access release. i can only imagine how amazing itll be when its 'finished'

i think this game has some balancing issues, in that the gameplay feels very easy and the units get super overpowered super fast.

some of the art, on close inspection, doesnt look... finished? or was finished in a hurry. for example, garrick's neck where it meets his scarf just looks like a big lump, and caius' transparent model has a lot of polishing that needs to be done. one of the tattoos on aurima's chest is drawn in very shaky and has a very noticeable point where it looks like the artist just said 'screw it. its a circle.'

the absolute dump of support conversations on chapter three was very overwhelming, and adding on to that, theres a noticeable lack of 'recruitment' opportunities. every character that you may want to recruit into your party is just kind of thrust on you without a very good story tie-in to make it a believable thing. only a very few of the wide cast of characters have managed to pique my interest; everyone else feels shallow and generic

otherwise, i think its alright. an adequate love letter to the GBA series of fire emblem games. the pixel art is super fluid, all the spell effects are unique, but i cannot for the life of me figure out the 'weapon triangle' of this game, or if it even exists lol. i dont think its worth its full price, but on sale, its a good pick up. personally, ive been dying for a sacred stones remake or port, and this sort of fills the gap a little bit. im really hoping for some tune-ups and adjustments and maybe some dlc to really bring this game together, but, a fully released game shouldnt have to rely on that 'will they wont they' promise of extra content.

all in all, buy it if youre as desperate for something as i am to tide you over until a new fire emblem remake hits the market

edit: editing to add that there are a million loading screens, and there is currently no battle save, which really really sucks. dont start a battle if you dont think youll have time to finish

not worth the $15 price; wait for it to go on sale to get it.

beat it in less than an hour; had one of my characters die off screen without any choices that i could have made to save him which was annoying. game just kinda decided to kill him off.

the characters themselves dont even express a whole lot of emotion for when another character dies, either, they just say something along the lines of 'oh, i miss so and so. well better go to sleep' and then never mention the character again, which is bothersome. the game couldve had great emotional baggage if the characters just expressed something other than being bored all the time.

i dunno. still liked it though. worth the summer sale price of $5 at least.

my favourite borderlands game hands down; its a lot of fun and its great being able to watchand take part in jacks transformation to handsome jack, though i wish theyd given a little more background info on what h e was doing with angel at the time
