I don't know who at Croteam thought it would be a good idea to change the gamepad weapon swapping mechanic from the hd remasters, but that really killed this game for me. This is a wave shooter, and running out of ammo only to be empty handed while I quickly grab for the keyboard to change weapons resulted in so many unneeded deaths. The game would simply do nothing when wanting to swap to a weapon in these situations and its through the LB and thumsticks, or sometimes the triggers. It only works some of the time, and man does that get old fast.

I was a big fan of the hd remasters for the first and second encounter, but this was a dissapointment. Game was pretty stable overall, and did have some fun gameplay sequences. Overall it had many questionable design choices, and there was a lot here that was a letdown. The story had some funny moments, but was very cringe. Both my friend and I agreed this is gonna be our last Serious Sam game, and we even got it on sale! Really not enjoying the direction they are taking this series in and there are better co-op experiences out there.

I would say play this if you are new to shooters, or in need of a quick fix for an arena shooter. As a shooter veteran, this title comes up short. There isnt much depth besides the weapon creation, and while the gore/humor helps, it doesnt make up for the fact that the guns arent very satisfying to shoot, and the game gets boring rather quickly.

Wow. Just finished this and I gotta say, Hotline Miami is an amazing game. But not for the usual reasons. The gameplay is stupidly simple, the graphics look like something out of the 90's, and the plot is pretty thin up until the end. But if you can put those things aside, you have a demented, fast paced, anger inducing, pulse pounding top down shooter. Oh yeah did I mention this game is twisted as hell? Its a very difficult game, you can only take one shot.

I wish I had picked it up on the sale, but Its fine given im supporting an indie devolper. I dont usually like extremely difficult games like this, but the difference with hotline miami is it is not unfair. You know the rules going in, and it is mostly memorization and experimentation. I was totally addicted every day to play this game to the very end, and it is the sort of game you feel very dirty after playing. It really doesnt shy away from anything, and is surprisingly graphic for a game that is not even in 3d. So if youve been hearing good things about this game and want to try it out, do it! Just know that you will get very pissed off(I tried to break my controller many times during this game) as this is THE HARDEST game I have ever beaten all the way through. Im going to go relax now, my hands are numb from playing this game! Cant type any more.....

Really fun game, definitely the best kart racer on PC. Looks a little better and runs a little smoother than on consoles, which is to be expected. Overall a good port. For the best experience use a 360 gamepad and work your way up in the single player before moving on to the multiplayer, which is also really fun!

Gets a bit stale after awhile, but great fun for first timers that need a smooth zombie fragfest
