after clocking in over 1500 hours on stardew across all platforms I've been looking for a game that comes close to giving me that same feeling when I first played it. and I think I've found it and more. I've been looking forward to getting my hands on this game for a very long time, and it has definitely delivered. the only struggle I have is trying to narrow down the marriage candidates.

I'm so looking forward to all that's to come, and if its anything like the roadmap says coral island could be a serious contender for the best game of its genre, and I don't say that lightly. I wish all the luck to the devs and can highly recommend coral island to anyone who loves life sims as much as I do.

I am thoroughly enjoying exploring this magical world. As a massive fan of farming games, growing up on harvest moon and naturally moving on to stardew I'm always hesitant playing games 'inspired by' the likes. However, sun haven doesn't try to be like those games, it is wonderfully unique in it's own right.

It has a focus on combat, magic and fantasy elements without forcing them upon you. if you want to chill and just grow crops, you can. mining? you got it. fishing isn't tedious and is simple to get the hang of. the animals are stinking cute too, did I mention you can have a unicorn as a pet?? adorable!

I'm not close to finishing the main storyline but from what I have seen so far it is fairly easy to avoid combat scenarios if that kind of gameplay isn't for you, I'm very much enjoying exploring this side to the game though.

For an early access game, it feels pretty fleshed out and most of the things I would add to the game -events, more character customisation, controller support- are on the roadmap to being released.

There are SO MANY CHARACTERS!! and lots of them are romanceable!! I am loving getting to know them but it can both be a positive and a negative, as I just can't choose who I want to marry. It's a struggle.

One thing I would change that I know was touched upon is I think the race you choose should have some kind of affect rather than just cosmetic, I appreciate that it's there but it does feel kind of lackluster when you're playing as an angel and you don't have any unique powers relating to that fact, or nobody acknowledges it (such as when I'm going on a date with a literal demon, that stark difference would make for good dialogue opportunities).

I'm looking forward to sinking more hours into sun haven and seeing where the future takes the game, I can see it being a serious contender as one of the top farming RPGs when it is fully released.

interesting game. I enjoy the premise, the gameplay is simple to learn but still can be a little challenging, it does require a little thought but at times I find myself bored of it so I just click random options and hope for the best.

I wish there was more character development, the romance routes are rushed and lackluster. I don't care much for the characters and although some parts of the stories are different during a second playthrough most of the scenes are the same. Overall a fun little game but probably not worth the full price.

on paper, this is not my kind of game at all. buuuut then you tell me its greek mythology set in hell but also gay, and I'm sold. also, death incarnate is hot af and you get to pet a doggo. 10/10.

aside from the teenage boys treating the game like some kinda dating show after assuming you're a women on the solid basis that you are the colour pink, its great with friends.

I'm 3 chapters in and as a massive LIS fan I'm already ready to argue that this is a serious contender for the best in the series. The characters are wonderfully developed and have me caring deeply about them. Alex is also a fantastic protagonist.

LIS always has the ability to tug at my heart strings, but 'True Colors' has had me shed tears and laugh out loud more times than I'd care to admit, I'm sure there's many more times to come too.

The stoyline has me hooked, like a good book that I can't put down and whilst I found the other LIS games semi-predictable I have no idea where this one is going but I can't wait to find out.

The setting is beautiful and with ray tracing on the graphics are truly incredible whilst remaining true to the LIS art style, I feel like I've been transported into the town of Haven Springs. Unlike other Life Is Strange games I actually have wanted to take my time to explore my surroundings and take everything in.

The only gripe I have with it is that there are a few bugs, which I guess is to be expected in new releases nowadays (T posing and background characters getting stuck whilst free roaming) but nothing game breaking for me so far. I'd also say that if you're not already a massive fan of LIS I'd maybe wait for a sale, the price tag is a little steep for a game I know is only going to take me a few more hours to complete.

Also....you get to romance Steph and if that isn't a good enough reason to play.

I don't like this game

Stress free, adorable game. Brings back all the nostalgia of harvest moon whilst remaining unique and true to itself. 10/10 always

Update- I lied, it is in fact, not stress free.

So in love with the whole storyline. The game itself had such a wholesome feel to it and the characters were relatable and had depth. The story itself was the main draw for me, however the puzzles were a welcome surprise and although simple in nature, could still be challenging for some. Overall a beautiful game which will have you feeling almost every kind of emotion.
