Initial 'plot twist' was quite interesting but i honestly am failing a bit to have fun. You can call it 'skill issue' and partly you are probably right but gameplay wise it is very slow, game punishes you on every step, some animations are very hard to read tell the right 'hitbox' and game could do better job at explaining mechanics in a first place (especially 'fire' attacks).

Overall game is very well made, visually it's stunning. Soundtrack doesn't step away from it too.
But I'm having tons of fun in games like Elder Ring and while there i do have that feel of accomplishment after heavy fight that i made it work, here it is just skill issue, but not that deep and often some common enemies are harder than actual bosses, especially in groups looking how unforgiving the game is.
This might be perfect game for some people but personally i cannot recommend it

It's fine

"Well, that escaleted quickly" is a best way to describe this game.

Great, very original mini game you can complete even under 2h, unless you want to get achievements which i call impossible without cheating (finish game without crashing (especially GPS level, you will know once you play it (whoever though of it must burn in hell for that :P ))).
Great sound design, story and voice acting. I played it with headphones on my head and with a pad while under a blanket on bed - great way to immerse and focus and actual game and story (and believe me, you will need every bit of focus you can get, this game gets really brutal and especially 'chaos' level really brings chaos!)

Honestly recommended to pretty much anyone to try it out

I have to edit my review YET again because it looks like Sony still might try to double down on their decision as not only game was not yet returned to stores in no-PSN countries, they actually added few countries to the list they must have missed the first time.
It's very fishy and there is no communication on what's happening.
Above this Sony is going deep with their next games releasing on PC so there is very high chance they are just waiting for things to calm down with Helldivers before they will come back here too.

But on more serious note, game is great. Really is. But as always gamers must be proved again and again that we can't have nice things because greed and office politics.

By uniting we achieved something amazing. We stopped Sony's decision from pretty much killing the game (because let's not forget this game lives off community, killing off most of it will not bring bright future to the game). Uniting, we voted with our wallets and voices and we stopped not only having to share out data with Sony by creating another useless account, we defended our brothers who were literally banned from playing the game months after they paid for it for sole reason of not even be in country where mentioned accounts work, but we also showed that PC players have a limit, and we won't forever tolerate invasions into our platform.

Changing my review to positive as to show i do appriciate the game.
HOWEVER
Please do not be foolishly thinking this is the end. Afterall Sony isn't known for caring for they players (not many companies are really), they have still power over the game and for sure hundres of thousands of PC players will look very nicely in their investors meetings. I won't be surprised if we get soon some other news about yet another update.
Devs also said they are working on new way for (as i understand) Sony to help to moderate the game (because in tens of hours i spent in this game, all 0 cheaters or even toxic players i met really need that sweet, so sweet taste of liberty from the game)
So stay vigilant!

On last note, please do not forget Arrowhead is NOT clean either. Their staff was caught in multiple toxic behaviours and straight up lying even about the PSN account matter. I want to give them one more chance, but at this point we can't even know how much of a bad actor of Sony is here because they might have did all of it with agreement with Arrowhead.
So yeah... on not so much positive note, let's dive in and hope for bright future!

For the needy ones:
More or less group of random people gathered to make a game that someone thought may be 'funny to make'. Crazy mash up of topics on a first glance, but in practice everything "Just works" (unlike some other games under that quote~). Game that really makes you simply enjoy exploration, going further into unknown, with obviously well advertised "pokemons with guns" (and don't bother about allegations, some twitter users just need to scream to survive, claiming Palwords copies bluntly from Pokemon/Nintendo, while they done worse things anyway if we go that route). Good crafting and well developed automatization using your Pals. Base building, skills, all around various upgrades, defining what exactly means when games are Sandbox and OpenWorld (looking at you Starfield).
As much as on first look you may think that game is mix of assests, you can't be more wrong. I recommend reading about how the game was really created because it's quite interesting (and funny as heck!), but playing the game you can really tell how much time and actual love was put into it. All pals have individual animations, different behaviors. All small details that surprise you but make you smile when you see your Pal happily jump up with you~
Despite the game was just released in Early Access, with close to 0 bugs ON RELEASE (crazy nowdays, right? (looking at you... every other AAA game)), it could be pretty much released even in the state it is now and the price still would offer way more than you would get for it in any other game.
All of that spiced up by having tons of humor on every step makes this game pretty much perfect and if i had to point out any other game than Baldurs Gate 3 to be 'the game' of recent times, I think It would be honestly Palworld. Of course it is not literally perfect, because nothing really is. But is it fun? Yes! Does it feel like the game was worth your money? Oh YES!
It may not seem seem like that on a first glance, because the game doesn't really seem to do much, but it simply, for a good price, offers what players want, without weird DLCs, microtransactions, cut content, first years of fixing the game release state, simply delivered what was shown, delivered what actually people want, not what's "woke", delivered a good game.

And if more and more records being broke by the game or millions of players playing already despite jsut being released isn't enough? I have no clue what says more that the game is simply Fun.

If you even sligtly think the game has anything you might enjoy, you 100% will.
