I was expecting a fairly average Mario-style platformer, but Kitsune Tails surprised me in a number of ways. Perhaps the most interesting is that you can combine power-ups.

So for example, you can wear the boot with this game's ideal of the Tanuki Suit. I also like how it seems to have been built around the idea of modding, as it comes with a few mini-game examples and even an arcade where you play a First Person horror game.

So yeah, Kitstune Tails has a lot going for it imo

It's crazy how a group of fans did a better job at recapturing the feel of Gothic 2 better than the actual devs of Gothic 2.

Absolutely recommended.

Thanks to this game I was able to:
- Have the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive win the 16-bit console war
- Save the Sega Saturn
- Hire Nobuo Uematsu as my composer
- Ensure the Wizardry series received many more sequels and spin-offs

11/10 would play again

Not only is this the best KOTOR game, this is absolutely one of the best WRPGs ever made.

Sadly, it's basically required that you install the mod that adds in all the content originally cut from the game. Otherwise, you'll be left with an incomplete experience.

An awesome, wholesome puzzle game.

The art style is cute, but the sound effects absolutely steal the show. What other game do you get a girl saying "pow" as a punching sound effect?

The puzzles get pretty challenging as you advance through the game, but never unfairly so, and it even allows you to undo your moves or reset the level altogether.

Overall, definitely worth it.

It's not bad, I think people need to temper their expectations.

It's clearly not made by Piranha Bytes and it's clear that the game is just a proof-of-concept, but it does show potential.

With that said, some things need be addressed:

- The way the main character looks is off;
- The main character talks too much and too much to himself;
- Dialogs and cutscenes need to skippable;
- The game doesn't need cutscenes, or at least, not as many as it has in this demo;
- I think the action segment at the beggining of the demo is unnecessary.

As for the good points, the quest system and exploration seems to be intact. The combat also got a huge overhaul and I'm quite fine with that as the combat in the original left something to be desired.

(Note: I've only played the physical Sega Mega Drive / Genesis Release)

Tanglewood is a puzzle platformer in the veign of games like Limbo, Heart of Darkness of Flashback. It's true there are many titles under this genre, but what sets it appart is the how it was created.

This is a game developed in 2018 for the Sega Mega Drive / Sega Genesis. We're talking about a console with 30 year old hardware, limited to 64k of ram (that's kilobytes by the way), that could only output 64 colors.

The fact a modern developer decided to take on the task of applying modern game design and apply it to a system as old as the Megadrive is nothing short of amazing. Yes, it's inspired by old titles, but it feels surprisingly contemporary in its execution taking the best of both of what there is to be had in classic and modern games alike.

Its approach to sound and music for example is something you would expect out of a modern game, relying mostly on ambient noise to increase immersion, something which few, if any Sega Genesis games did prior to this. On the other hand, all puzzles and game mechanics are explained through gameplay and level design, never requiring the player to read a tutorial, and all of this, running on a game that is likely smaller than whathever song you might be listening on your phone.

Do you like cuteness? Do you like Tamagotchis? Do you like free games?

If so, MatchyGotchy is an awesome way of spending a relaxing afternoon. Taking care of those cute stars and planets is an adorably good time. The game is also really simple and anyone pick up and play with ease.

Midboss is a fun roguelike with a neat concept. Sometimes it feels a bit pokemon-ish with the creature collection and skill training aspect, but I'd say this game is definitely worth your time.
