The early game felt really bad without the basic power-ups (air dash, jump off projectiles) and I almost refunded the game during the first hour. Once you have a few of the power-ups mobility starts to feel as you might expect. Enemy telegraphing feels really punishing: you get little to no feedback on when their attacks will come out and where, so trying to dodge them or "parry"/block them often just ended with me taking extra damage. The "puzzle rooms" seemed to immediately punish me before giving me any chance to figure out what I was supposed to do. If you are looking for a roguelite that feels like it is from yester-year but looks really nice... maybe get it?
