Addicting game, every city is different, and has it owns problems. Truly recommend this game for any of city-building-sim fans.

Only played it for 3+ hours, I've decided to write a review here.

For a developer that being funded by indie backer at indiegogo, I believe that they're living up my expectations.
Basically, what do you expect with funds only 29,000 USD? Being developed for a year, I believe those value didn't last long in the US. Calculate average salary per month for a programmer, they don't have enough money practically.

Therefore, I try give my not-so-called-objectives review, given those handicap.

Graphics : 7/10
Arguably their main weak point. Although unity engine that being used by them have more capability, they simply didn't have enough manpower to polish the graphic. The character details is just like PS2 or XBOX era. Character animation also is not very "amusing", but playable.
However, despite of the lack details in the character, they put much effort in surrounding details. Much of the details are handcrafted individually. They put effort to give Easter egg for their backer. Look for each poster and note, you'll find out that most of it are handcrafted. But you can feel that they use lighting and shadows to compromise with the lack of character details.

Gameplay: 9/10
For me, this is their main strong point. Remember Fatal Frame? Remember how the atmosphere they built in that? For me, Dreadout is giving the same, if not better, horror atmosphere than Fatal Frame. Try to play it in the middle of the night, with surround speakers and when you're alone ;)
Maybe this game is rather hard for person that is not a hardcore gamers. This is due to the developer didn't gave much information in-game. You need to figure out by yourself, what you need to do. It's a good point to draw you closer to heroine experience. However, there's a lot of guide out there to guide you out from your frustration :)
If you notice, the developer of this game give the opening cut-scene with "Lingsir Wengi" song. For locals like me, this is the song that "told" by many to draw evil spirit came. More than enough to give a goosebumps :(
The only minus in gameplay is it only last few hours. You want it more after finished it.

Music: 9/10
Another strong point of this game. The OST is good. Googling the artist list and review the OST, they worth to be downloaded :)

Final Verdict : 8.5/10
They put a good atmosphere to overcame the graphic limitation. And good soundtrack also. Actually, I want to give them 10/10 due to being handicapped in development budget. But, even with that handicap, they deserve a good rating from me :)
