Not the nostalgia fix you are looking for.

Take Payday 2, make it Star Wars, add an open world, and turn down the spice-meter until its playable by kids.

This game simply does *NOT* deserve all the hate. Compared to similar games, I would say It deserves an 80% rating. Running this on a i9-10900(letters) and a RTX 3090. Everything is beautiful. No bugs or issues whatsoever for me, runs like a damn charm. I would say it is a little bit overpriced, but once you factor in that Ubisoft has to deal with the Star Wars neck-beard gatekeepers, I think its is priced perfectly, lol.

Ubisoft took a swing with a franchise whose fans are its own worst enemy, whose fans are more varied between age groups/demographics/desires than any other. They delivered a broadly enjoyable game, which *feels* like Star Wars. If you don't think its challenging enough, Ubisoft delivered a broad spectrum of modifiers you can enable to try and make it so it is playable for those without skill all the way up to those who consider themselves God's gift to gaming. It's designed to be generally immersive and kid-friendly (its not even remotely spicy, at least, from what I have encountered 11 hours in).

To those who wanted a hardcore RPG, FPS, or flight sim: I'm sorry. I did too. But you and I aren't the only fans out there. But review bombing a generally good game just because it isn't what you WANT it to be isn't going to encourage more people to develop and publish for the franchise. This is why Warhammer 40K publishes 15 new games a year and Star Wars only gets 1 game every 5 years. Just get your hit of nostalgia out of it and move on, if its not what you wanted. *shrugs

I'm just happy to have any new Star Wars content.

Fantastic game! I absolutely love it. The perfect mix of combat, silliness, and sarcasm.

Good game for when you want to relax, play at a slow pace, and experience some sci-fi goodness.

IDK how the reviews for this are mixed... It is objectively a great game even for full price, and it doesn't even have your usual 10,000 DLC packs. All new content they added has been free so far. Couldn't be happier with it!!!

Looked like an homage to Half Life. Bought it on a whim.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it fun! and almost never crashes! and is very well designed!!!! Wow.... "AAA developers" could learn a lot from this.
