Do you like playing just one character or just not interested in playing/making other classes? Then this game isnt for you. this game encourages making 'alts' in order to take full advantage of the grinding/farming system as every character in your roster can attempt these game modes a set number of time a day/week. This means that anyone who just wants to play 1 character would have far less of these activities compared to people who rotate alts like a disc player. The grind isnt as bad as i thought it would be unless u want to just rush to tier 3 but then u just miss half the game and then you are stuck doing side missions until u reach the next required item level. dungeons are really fun but unless u make alts you only have access to these missions 6 times a WEEK , ONCE per mission. the game is really fun but does require time to play and grind. As a casual player i wont recommend it to others who never played an mmo before but for veterens of the genre i can see them playing this game for hundreds or even thousands of hours. But at this time as I only found 1 character worth playing, I hit a brick wall with gameplay and story and lost interest. 7/10

Horrible progression so far due to the defender weapons. With the starter armor and defender weapons the game loses all progression since it doesnt make any sense to make other weapons such as lightning great swords or dual dragon blades. They outclass every weapon (and maybe armor?) I can craft so far in the base game and i really wish they gave this at the start of icebourne instead of the beginning where getting new weapons supposed to be a core part of the game, this is my biggest negative playing the game so far. Everything else such as combat and the open world experience of a 'hunt' is exceptional.
After completing world and icebourne and currently in the epilogue of icebourne, I can safely say this is one hell of a boss battle simulator. Each monster is unique in its own right and even has different variants and even modes like tempered and raging. Shara is such a letdown as a 'final' boss; boring, slow, super spongy, awful arena, and just ugly. Meanwhile, everything after it is just superb in design and mechanics and really lets the game show off all its bells and whistles and I have only just reached stygian. I cant wait to continue hunting monsters whenever I have the time and look forward to discovering the undiscovered. Awesome game. 8/10

this game so immersive and stunning to look at even for its age. It does a really good job of creating this survival-horror environment for the player and mechanics wise the controls are not complicated at all and using resources and items wisely is key to surviving the alien. 10/10

Game took me by surprise, didnt expect it to be so good. 9/10
