get this.. you won't regret it

game is great. for the most part. it does as of launch have a weird problem with in game audio.. it's just a little quieter than one would want. but that's a minor problem and probably will get a fix at some point in a patch.

people who are griping about "censorship" doesn't understand that this is a brand new product based on an old one

this isn't a remaster.. it is a remake. differences in presentation will happen. i wouldn't watch the 2021 dune and expect to see Sting in a metal speedo just because he was in the 1984 dune movie.. i don't expect everything in this to be like the original version.. which was on famicom/NES. and so very VERY different looking...

and on that note the NES version really was censored. they flat out changed the save point/churches into just buildings.. which a dude in them that wrote your adventure down in a diary. and the cross's in the background got turned into stars

sony requires a PSN account for single player in the remake. screw them. i'm not buying any new sony games till single player games don't require an account for a console i don't own. nor ever intend to buy

i play on PC because consoles are just neutered PC's in the first place. why should i buy an over priced lesser version of what i already have?

the port was good. but they stealth added enigma anti-tamper into this. and other games.

enigma is a potential malware collecting data from your computer and sending it to it's creators in russia

it's a decent port of the game. but capcom are on some stupid war against mods and did the dumbest thing by adding an actual domumented malware to the game on the idea of anti-tampering

and it just doesn't make sense on a SINGLE PLAYER GAME!!! who cares if people mod or even cheat on stuff they are playing by themselves?

if the game senses modification.. just turn off achievements. like most games do

this is how you do a remake or remaster

they lied to me. i was one of the play testers and was told that i'd get special exclusive stuff for helping play test the game.. do the stress tests.. and even took part in the winter beta in december and january. i got nothing for that.. everything i earned gone.. they're "redeem the stuff this way" site doesn't work. the email support is "log in with the account you play tested on" like i'm effing not doing that the whole time.. every email is the same message "use the account you play tested with"

so they lied.. and for lying i'm done. tech issues are one thing. but they think they comped everyone who play tested and they didn't. so i'm done.. and you shouldn't give them your time or money if they arn't going to go above and beyond for the people who helped them get this thing stage ready..

addendum: if you arn't going to read the whole review and decide to ask the same stupid questions as tech support have repeated.. ad nausium.. don't comment. if you arn't being helpful... just don't.. if you're trying to be funny.. you're not

i've done every single thing tech support said to do.. and still nothing.

game is ok.. but it has a complete lack of a story campaign. just a "here.. now go do stuff and make your own fun" conquest mode

if you played the old westwood studios dune RTS's and was wanting more of the same.. move on.. or wait till this is on sale

CBT was a blast. can't wait to get in and really blow this shtuff down. as of writing there's a server overload.. which is good.. means people want to play :3

i was a closed beta on 3... this is what they promised us.. we didn't ever get it there. glad they tried again and this time made it work
