I will try my absolute best to sing my praises for this game, considering that it's in early access and has only been out for about 1 month and 4 days. This is already a fantastic and wonderful game. I cannot stop thinking about playing this game, interacting with all the characters (who are all hot but does that really matter? Yes. Kinda. Whatever!), and actually sitting down and watering crops, feeding my animals, fishing, and going to the mines to grind out some ores.

Progression feels so quick and its so rewarding, you can grind out your farming skill tree fairly quickly and reap your benefits for doing so. A good example for a reward you can get from the skill tree is getting stamina back from merely watering your crops. There are many more examples of the skill tree being fantastic and incredible tool to use to your advantage to become the best farmer you can in this quirky fantasy town.

THE CHARACTERS. Oh my goodness, the characters. I find it hard in any game to grow attached and immersed with the characters within the setting, especially within these farming slow paced types of games, however with Fields of Mistria I found myself enjoying all the characters. If I had to pick my Top 3 it would go March, Juniper, and then Balor. Unlike other farming games, its actually really hard for me in FoM to decide who I would actually want to settle down with. I love these characters so much I feel as if the bachelors/bachelorettes are all fantastic. Despite this game being in early access, the characters feel so alive within this world and it really makes you just want to talk to them over and over again, which you can do! However, I do have some time to decide because of right now, hearts for the characters don't go past level 4, which I understand FoM is still being worked on.

Negatives? For what I can think of right now within my 23 hour playtime, I do have an issue with fishing. I love fishing in any game, its my go to side thing to do should a game have it. My main concern/gripe is with the fishing stamina cost, I feel in my own personal opinion, it takes way too much a chunk of your stamina. In a game where your time is limited and there's only so much you can do, even with the stamina upgrades with a Ruby Rank Town I feel as if I'm running out of energy way too quickly. Another kinda issue I had was with the money you'd get back from selling the fish, it really doesn't feel like a lot. A shark only being 100? That's kinda crazy but I can forgive it, the game is in early access I'm sure prices will be adjusted within the final product. Some bugs here and there, my game did crash once but I think its because I was streaming the game on Discord and also going into the Steam Overlay a bunch of time's to look at guides. One bug that stuck out to me was the menu switching sound being played over and over again in the overworld for some reason. Other than that, this game is still great and I look forward to playing it even more.

Two last things I wanted to add, the stamina system, incredible great. Unlike other games, once your stamina depletes you aren't forced to skip out on the entire day and have to wake up late the next with half your bar. You can still do other things, swing your sword around to get more feeding supplies for your animals, talk and interact with characters, even finish some quests if you already meet their criteria. I absolutely love this, makes time management in this game way less stressful than others. And finally, saving. YOU AREN'T FORCED TO HAVE TO PLAY THE ENTIRE DAY IN ORDER TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS. You just save in your journal that's right there next to your bed when you start the game, at any time. The fact I can pick up and put down this game whenever I want makes this game so accessible to me, it's superb and I can't believe I have to praise such a basic feature but it's very much appreciated.

IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT BUYING THIS GAME, BUY IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Just a short little message to the devs if they are reading this, you all are doing a fantastic job, I can't wait to see where this game goes, you've already got an incredible start, keep up the fantastic work :)

Being an Overwatch fan is like being ran over by a semi-truck, getting shot by missiles 50 times, shot up in space only to come back plummeting into planet Earth and getting spit on. At least the skins I have are cute!

(I would love to have the things I paid $40 for, but I guess I can't even have that teehee!)
