ATLYSS is a very fun and whimsical rpg with graphics plucked from early MMORPG's like WoW and the like. its very enjoyable and challenging with alot of room for growth. parry mechanics are easy to learn, and every time you fail feels like a lesson to learn to just get better. early enemies are easy pickings with difficulty ramping as you go which is as to be expected. there are at the time of this review 4 "races" and 3 "classes" you can pick up, with you being able to get other race abities and class abilities as rare drops from enemies or chests, leaving how you want your build to be done entirely up to you.

character design is very good. anything from NPC's to enemies feels so well crafted together. Even just the pickable races have alot of customization. you can have two people from the same race that look entirely different and i fw that heavy. NPC designs are very good, minor npcs all look generally the same but its not a huge deal as you arent meant to be looking at them that much. all the important characters (ones that give you quests) are individually distinct, both in personality and design and i really like that.

def reccomend picking it up just to mess around with. the game IS early access but even so theres a good 5-10 hours worth of gameplay here. def worth the money and then some, cant wait to see the game grow beyond early access and into its full release.

launched the game, booted up story mode with no preparation, and got folded by a lawnchair. 10/10

was gonna buy this game when it was suddenly out of nowhere delisted.
the wait for it to be listed again was worth it. this game is really fun and the ragdoll physics are unique and halarious. definitely worth picking up if you want something to just goof around with with your friends or by yourself.
