Really promising little gem, very quick matches. I agree with previous reviews that the game could use a mulligan system, as there's no guarantee you'll get units on first draw, and this forces you to have more low level units in order to stay alive, but I still usually beat speed decks that stack low level units with a more balanced deck strategy so I'd say it's pretty well balanced, if only because there aren't that many cards yet. I expect more cards with more deck diversity to come in the future, giving thumbs up because game is promising and animations are good.

Tight controls, good variety of tough enemies and it is free! If you like Doom you will enjoy this game. It may be too tough for me to finish even on easy but you can do it!

Not mind-blowing nothing particularly unique but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The mechanics and UI are easy to understand, the mech movement and attacks are flashy, controls are responsive and easy to adjust if you misclick. Good variety of weapons and strategy, the mechs have three interchangeable parts: core, main weapon, secondary weapon. Although here there's only one enemy type in prologue I expect way more from full release. My only complaint would be the health regeneration mechanics. You only regenerate a little HP after each mission, and there's only two space stations you pass where you can refill HP and buy stuff, and you can't go back to the station once you pass it. I spent all my $$ repairing my main mech and went into the later missions with everyone below 50% HP, I understand it's standard rogeulite mechanics but man that's gonna get annoying. I don't want to have to go back to previous saves and replay missions just to try to survive with more HP so I can progress without dying over and over (you replenish what looks like 15% HP when you die/finish mission). Hopefully full release has an easy mode where you repair 50% HP or full after each mission, gradually getting lower and lower HP as you progress is annoying and I barely finished the prologue, doubt I'd make it through the campaign with current HP mechanics as is.

I love the lore and the quest, but dang if I don't hate this game. So many deaths to RNG, if the one thing that generates happiness doesn't generate despair in its place are you even playing the game? Yes, sleeping with health often kills you and ends your game and it's the most likely thing to generate good feels, so wtf how do you even play this crap? There's some cool nuggets of lore under this garbage I bought on accident. It'll take you hours to figure out the manse and hours to figure how to not die only to realize there's no way to avoid death to random chance. Might as well try again... already bought the game...

Amazing! Minimalist, easy on the eyes. Needs more tracks, cars and cross your fingers for some kind of multiplayer.

*FREE* Need I say more?

I would also love to see some car dmg even if only cosmetic.

Really takes me back to the arcade's top-down steering wheel games, you know the 4-player on 1 screen back when arcade's didn't suck.

29 hours and I still haven't made the first evolutionary leap, just goes to show how huge the map is and how much there is to explore. I've mastered the generations system but I didn't realize the dormant alleles don't activate until you make an evolution leap so my moncheechees have all these dormant genes that the game said would activate on the next generation, which I thought meant when the kids grew up but THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. It's kinda like monkey Dark Souls in that regard, where if you lose your special monkeys with dormant alleles you lose those randomly-generated buffs permanently with no way of going back to a previous save file, and it's very very easy to die even if you're careful. I also didn't realize you could pick up two kiddos until I read someones guide, or that the ONE-TIME bonus you get on discovering meteors stacks with more kids you bring to it. There's some super weird non-evolution based game mechanics like that (females can have only 2 babies, males have no limit even elder males can mate to pass on those important genes), which really helps to know about before you start so you're welcome. Sorry if you're like me and you love diving blind into brutal Dark Souls-like games but the devs do a poor job explaining their own game mechanics so there you're welcome, what took me 10+ hrs to discover you now know and it really sucks to miss out on on that all important first play-through. Seriously besides the things I've mentioned don't look at guides, and you're in for a beautiful brutal first ride. Go slow. Evolve. Survive. Thrive. THINK LIKE MONKEY. Stick go where? EVERYWHERE. Try everything.

The game mechanics are very original, graphics are great, you evolve how you play. Highly recommend.
