The writing is perfect. It conveys emotions and describes the world in a manner that is rare in the genre. It keeps you wanting more—more information, descriptions, and interactions. Everyone can take away a lesson or see a parallel to their own lives when playing. While it is heavy on descriptions, it rewards you with impeccable world-building and realistic characters. The voice acting made me want to wait for the dialogue to finish, just so I could hear the rendition of the voice actor. It’s worth mentioning that it can also be funny and ridiculous; not everything is gritty and full of despair.
On a different note, the fast-travel system could use improvement, the game has some annoying bugs, and the music can get a little repetitive in certain areas.

For a game about animals, it's quite human

I love this game, it holds a special place in my heart. I originally played it in 2018, and I must say that it hits differently. The writing is wonderful, it's perfectly executed and the dialog feels natural. The characters are fleshed out, they have dreams, traumas, issues; every small interaction is meaningful and shows you something. This game made me feel a level of dread and helplessness that I didn't know I had in me, the themes it covers may resonate with you. In the past, here I saw one of the first positive relationships that showed me that maybe, I did have a future.
