The Outlast Trials introduced me to a franchise which I'd only heard praise about for the longest time - specifically, thrusting me into the shoes of a poor soul enduring countless horrid encounters in the name of "therapy" in a live-service prequel with some phenomenal gameplay to boot.

Whether you're sneaking around or ragebaiting the NPCs, speedrunning the main objective or making sure you've scoured every inch of the map, you name it, there's a way to play.

Absolutely phenomenal multiplayer horror in a (well-established horror franchise that follows some AWESOME rules/consistencies!) that quickly turns into the same level of fun you get out of games like Lethal Company or Content Warning.
