Installed, launched and tried to setup a new profile and the game crashed to desktop. Launched again, got past that screen but couldn't select my native resolution (1920x1080) so had to play with either black bars or bad stretched aspect ratio. Edge mouse scrolling was non-functional at bottom but worked sides and top. Scroll speed was way to fast and no option to adjust speed. The UI felt clumsy and took too many clicks for simple instructions.

Over the game feels like it needs a lot more work before it's fun to play.

As expected, this game comes with a very good story. It was engaging and well put together. The music is wonderful and fits the mood as it changes during the game. Graphics are not bad, but have some room for improvement. What I did not like were the controls and often pathfinding. A few times controls did not work as expected or the character got stuck. It is also very short, 4-5 hours. That said, it is a great experience and would recommend.

This is a very unique game with great atmosphere, enjoyable graphics and melow campaign. It also supports windows and Linux very well. There are a lot of nice features that add to a very polished and enjoyable game.

This game is made with the casual gamer in mind who wants a bit more action. It is a mix of different styles of games for a unique experience. The trade-off is that the game isn't as deep in some other games. Typical map completion time is 20-45 minutes.

The game has several different kinds of towers and combinations of strategies needed to win. Limited building plots force you to think about what is really needed the most. Do you build a blacksmith for to unlock more melee weapons and damage. Or do you go with a fletcher to unlock bows and arrow production. These all unlock for your villagers as well.

It's also important not to play the game as a solo "epic hero." Heldric is a humble shoemaker and has no armor or can take much damage. He must rely on his wits and fellow villagers to win.

Game locks up often, traps are horribly unbalanced and game becomes very painfully tedious after about level 20. Players can attack your castle only losing crowns once, but get unlimited tries to then steal back 2x what they lost. You also lose your gold and “life force” in the process. (20%) Everyone repeated the same over powered traps (jelly walls, fire ballista, spring boards and fire mines) The final straw was when attacking a castle 2 levels ABOVE your character, you only get 7 crows for a perfect three star run. But if you lose, it's like -30 crowns. No incentive to even play with that risk vs reward. Overall more frustration than fun.

Very long waits to find a match, bad games with people who don't speak your selected language, and if you do get lucky enough to find people who can talk they act immature. Overall not very fun.

While not near as good as SR3, it still is very fun in it's own right. This makes very heavy re-use of SR3 assets and feels like a large mod or DLC rather then a standalone game. There was no point to cars or drive at all as you can just fly and jump over entire city blocks. Again, fun but doesn't feel like a SR game. It does however feel like a mash up of The Matrix and SR3. Again, fun, but not on par with SR3 and not worth full price. Wait for sale.

Update: While my initial review for this was recommended, I have to change it after picking the game up on sale. It's extreamly buggy ans crashes, locks up, restarts game and other problems. Disabling overlay, updating drivers, nothing helps. Coop gets out of sync on LAN, missions don't save progress. It's a mess really.

Stick with COH1 with Blitzkrieg Mod. Not only does that mod have more units but plays as you would expect. COH2 feels like a stripped down version of COH1 with game play mechanics that don't add any enjoyment. The addition of paid skins and microtransactions makes it feel like a free-to-play game. Also ran into my fare share of bugs on Win7 64bit. While the graphics are nice, it is difficult to see units and tell what is going on at times. Disappointed and recommend a pass.

Reminds me very much of the old Star Control 2. Zombies are a bit tired but the reset of the game is fun enough to carry it.

Hands down the best presented game ever. Ever part seems to work so well together. From the graphics and sound, to the story and voice acting. It clearly shows an experenced team and provides a lot of enjoyment. The biggest flaw with the game is that it ends. I want more!
