Sorry about all the posts it just makes me angry the more I think about it.

Think about it, almost every highschool in the nation promotes headbutting other kids on their spine as young as 13, it is history and fascism. But the mentality of violence and superiority is the real cause. And until we drop this pointless entertainment fetish directed at children we will continue to see the highest crime rates on the planet and the most murders.

And I understand your standpoint as I don't like censorship, I think people should censor themselves but the problem is, nobody even thinks about it. They argue absolute morality, freedom, and just the simple, its just fake its just a game. Well its not about it influencing me, violence is for morons and opens up a downward spiral cause human beings don't forget scummery, well until they forget it on a huge scale cause of programming. Like the NFL pro football, indoctrinating kids early on to slam each other on their head and spines. And create a social pecking order in school targeting weaker people. A lot of the programmed violence and superiority in the western world, and I ♥♥♥♥ you not, is programmed by football.

But what about the joker cinema shooter? He was basically advertising media in his spree kill? All I'm saying is fiction without any kind of moral integrity is what it is, and it does influence these people. As you can see my opinion isn't just video games but the media in general. Not the journalist media, like trump hates. People who are risking their lives to report dangers to people (he's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron) but the media that has been selling violence for over 100 years now. Exploitation fantasies that pervert millions of minds. All I see on the local news is pedophiles, and killers. We are programming people to accept murder. We have murder dramas on every local station in the evening. Its pretty warped we have created a society off media, that looks at murder, as something normal and entertaining. We can't even contemplate stories now without murder, in any medium.

I really disagree that media does not influence. Scenes like no more russian level in MW2, that was made by angry probably right leaning american nationalists. All I'm saying is gaming mentality, on any political spectrum, is usually combative and violent, why is that? Its cause it sells kill sims. I like very violent and disturbing games. But its about the intent of violence more than the actual violence. If a product sells the most evil ♥♥♥♥, without making it look bad, in fact the opposite, I see it as harmful. And quite obnoxious as well, I don't like trash like hitman, gta, cyberpunk and others. And I don't see the appeal and I think its a bit strange gamers trying to champion criminals. I'm not saying its the whole industry, and doom is not a game about evil, but fighting evil, I don't blame columbine on doom, but their love of firearms.

Of course the problems have been here as long as fascism has. And I prefer violent realism, and I don't blame every video game. But stuff like hitman, gta, binding of issac. If there is nothing good in them, no positive anything, and it sells exploitation. It is what it is, I have mixed views but I vote dem cause these people are bigots they hate the poor as much as they hate other races its impossible to be a moral person and like republicans. But... Psychotics isn't limited to republicans, and bad ideas do influence. Gangster rap music influences many drive bys and armed robberies. Filthy ♥♥♥♥ like GTA, I don't like all these popular crime extortion games, and democrats can't pretend to be moral people if we feed into ♥♥♥♥ like Game of thrones where women get raped, and entire groups of people are killed for entertainment even women and children.

I'm really not convinced of that, but every single gamer I've ever talked to defends the medium, even tho they sell torture, crime, violence to women, all in a safe kill box.

We just witnessed an election when 70 million people just voted for an obviously conman who ran a wreck of a presidency for the past four years. Something much worse has taken root in our society. With a troubled society as this, how could the video game community not be affected.

I also largely vote blue and lean fairly left on most issues, but I don't know that I'm totally convinced the violent content of video games is what's to blame. Video games have been violent for a long while, but it seems to me that this surging infestation of awful people is a newer trend. Or at least if it was always there I didn't notice it before recently.

If I may widen the scope of the discussion a bit, it seems to me that blaming video games misses deeper issues our society faces. Issues of isolation, loss of control, the slow slide into poverty and irrelevancy many of us are up against in the post-industrial world, etc. If we were we to do away with all violent games these problems still wouldn't be fixed. I've always felt that art is a reflection of the current zeitgeist, not so much it's instigation.

You would be amazed at the amount of alt right, alt christian hate groups on steam that never get shut down or punished. No matter how much you flag them, groups attacking homosexuals, women, liberals, other religions and non faiths etc.

Knowledge is power, and normal people need to talk about these extremes if its ever going to be drowned out. Its good to know there's people who know better, and that this place isn't saturated by alt right scum.

Well if you don't mind listening to me rant, as someone who has voted blue my whole life, in the south I have kind of an idea why. Gaming sells murder, murder simulations. And I don't mean all games but a lot. I love video games. But games like hitman, gta, even cyberpunk, where you beat up on women and innocent people, kill people by contract for personal gain etc. Gaming sells the most evil forms of violence in some franchises. ♥♥♥♥ like choking strippers out to death with piano wire in hitman. Very disgusting things, and gaming influences psychopaths. And as we know from ted bundy, republicans fit these psychotics. I don't even play some games, I like horror that tells a message, or games like rpgs where you save the world. I don't like these open ended murder sims. And even shooters, I like the actual shooting, but in a game like COD, trying to push an us vs them agenda like hate russians, its filth. Gaming has changed from the mario zelda fans of the old days.

Yea but you gotta be careful yourself as the people on steam punish any political speech even reasonable stuff. But they don't mind a moron game like evil democracy. Yes hitler did use a democratic system to get power, but did away with it as soon as he was finished using it. The nazi's were overwhelmingly right wing, they purged the democratic nazi's, went after gays, mentally challenged, atheists, tolerant christians even. These fringe minded looneys fabricate their history. Not for hitler or nazi's sake, but for their own similar confederate hate mongering. Anything that brings down libs is their friend, cause they are the part of hatred and racism.

But yea don't talk to much about it on any official forums, the admins purge stuff like that like the plague. But on your profile or on user groups they let all kinds of hate go. This place is full of filthy minded jackasses.
