Incredibly fun, dripping with style, unique sense of humor.

An honest 10/10 game for me. The gameplay loop of: start a level, beat it with a bronze medal, beat it with a gold medal, search the level for a gift, then find the hint and figure out how to get the platinum is SO engaging.

It helps a lot that the graphic choices are really engaging. Though not the highest quality of textures, the tasteful choice of ethereal realms and gorgeous music accentuates the vibe immensely

Fantastic choose your own adventure experience in a dark(ish) fantasy setting.

You aren't a hero, a villain, a king, or anything near the main character of this world. You are a Roadwarden. A simple protector of the path.

Choices do matter, but that isn't the main joy of Roadwarden. Moreso, it is building your story. The game is truly immersive, supported by quite a lot of well written text. The music is also tasteful and promotes the atmosphere. I was deep in a threatening tunnel and the music was deeply oppressive. When I got to safety I heard comforting and soft sounds.

Anyways, I really enjoyed the sparse illustrations that accompany each area. It feels like a really well formatted solo DnD campaign. I've yet to wrap up my journey but I'm already looking forward to the next playthrough.

Currently: I recommend buying this to support the dev but do not expect a finished product. It is in early access now and that is fully accurate. It's a fair price of admission to play the game. The dev is active and in the discussion boards, working hard to improve the game.

Game is fun, my main complaint is that descriptions for how things work is confusing and vague. Moreover, it's really hard to tell what is happening. It takes too long to pause and look at each thing. Also, it seems like random things just happen sometimes. My entire team would become bees after fainting, and I could not find out why this was happening.

The difficulty feels decent, the bosses are pretty hard. I wish there were more of them.

I love the music personally, and the graphic design. Building a team feels cool.

I wish that evolving your mons did more than just give them higher numbers. It'd be cool to have new abilities added, or different abilities with branching evolutions. To ease the pixel work, having branching evolutions with different colored sprites would be cool. For example: having a kadomon with the ability "do 4 damage to the enemy in back" could have one evolution that does 6 damage to enemy in back, or a branching version that adds 2 slow and does 4 damage to enemy in back. The game needs more strategy.

The text UI looks weird in places to me, I think it needs more drop shadow or something.

Either way I'm happy to see more autobattlers and I'm eager to see more in the future! It's obvious the dev wants to make an awesome game.

sooooo fun :) just some epic action. gameplay feels amazing and the roguelike elements are implemented well. variety of classes and builds and guns. great game, fair price. well worth the ticket of admission for $25. Can tell the devs love the product like a child.

Very fun, I've sunk many hours into it, really well thought out.

There is a pet mechanic which is just a straight up lootbox and a bit of a cash grab but it doesn't bother me personally, the game is super fun and I love it.
