Carrion is a neat little puzzle horror game that seems easy at first, until you start progressing throughout each level discovering different ways to tackle each scenario. As you unlock new abilities, different areas in previous levels suddenly become accessible, opening the player to new puzzles that require knowledge of each ability.

🌺 PROS
  • Interesting / Unique gameplay
  • Retro / Old school aesthetics
  • Puzzle difficulty increases as you progress
  • Upgrade system fits in with the story / lore
  • Easily 6 hours of gameplay (7.5 hours if you get stuck finding old puzzles like me)

🙏 CONS
  • There are some bugs that might just get you stuck until you restart / die
  • Getting closer to the endgame has you wishing for a minimap / full map
  • Some of the enemy AI can just bug out (might just be my PC)

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed playing Carrion! 💕

The fact that, when an update rolls out, I have to close the "game" 6 times before I can get to the actual game is just absolutely crazy. Please make separate launchers for each game, it cannot be that hard.

I just want to play a call of duty game that feels like a call of duty game. Without all the "bloat-ware".

First time posting a review, but my second -tide game. I've loving this game at the moment, it's been consuming every moment that I'm not stuck at work. While I do love it, there are QOL features missing and it feels VERY Early Access. If they had different openings of betas and actually launched the game as an Early Access, I feel the community would be a bit more accepting of this games shortcomings.

PROS
- Character flavor!
Honestly the part that makes this game is the characters. The character creator, voice lines, (limited) skill tree and their individual abilities are unique enough to fill that void in the end-game loop.

- Great game-play
The game-play is great! Being able to cut into groups of enemies with a chainsword, rushing like a bull and knocking everyone down or popping the heads of enemies from the other side of the map. Each class has different ways to play, and they all feel rewarding in their game-play.

You have tanks (Ogryns), DPS (Veteran), Melee (Preacher) & Wizard (Psyker). They all play differently, have universal and class specific weapons, and have small but interesting skill trees.

- Fun multiplayer
I've been playing this game with a few friends, and the games have been great! Helping eachother out with their characters penances (achievements/unlocks) and learning how each character benefits (or destroys) a team.

The game has a ping system, in-game text & voice chat. So even if you're playing solo, you can still make new friends.

CONS
- No mission select
All missions are time RNG based. There is no story mode, mission select or map search. Everything is accessed from one screen, with random modifiers attached.

- Server connection issues
This one could just be limited to the fact that I'm living in Australia. There servers constantly drop connections and sometimes will leave you in a reconnect loop that will require an ALT+F4. (the pro of this is that the game offers a reconnect option if you do get disconnected, allowing you to re-join the game you left)

- Frame rate / texture issues
There are currently frame rate and texture issues that are causing crashes from a good chunk of the community. Some can be bypassed and some get worse/better with every update.

- QOL Features missing
There are features that Fatshark implemented back in Vermintide 2 that haven't made it over to Darktide. I'm sure these will be added over time, its just a shame they didn't get implemented at launch.

- THE GRIND!
On god, the grind is a killer! All resources are limited to the character they were earned on and are NOT account wide. The only thing shared between characters is some cosmetics. All progress, resources and unlocks are per character.
Some penances (achievements/unlocks) are near impossible to achieve, as some require help from your team or pure god tier RNG.

The store refresh is every hour, but the selection of weapons is incredibly limited and the perk RNG is incredibly low. Not all the crafting features have actually been released yet, which means the ONLY way to get the weapon your build needs is to wait each hour, checking the store to see if the weapon you want has appeared and if its actual stats + perks are acutally usable.

They have released a community update informing us that the next crafting features are on their way, which will help out the grind ten fold. I'll update my review with every few updates!

I would not recommend this piece of trash. "S*x with the Devil" has a lack of settings, skip buttons, interface and game structure of any kind.

If you're into really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up flesh walls, crappy spike walls and un-skippable gross sex scenes.. go get help instead. Just an FYI, some of the scenes include: Breaking someones neck while receiving a bl*w job, having your t*sticles punched and/or kicked and just some really stomach churning stuff.

Killing Floor is a co-op survival horror that relies on solid teamwork. it can be a fun game just to waste a few hours on, but if you or your team aren't playing seriously then you're all sure to die.

shot a naked dude in the head, 9/10 would die again
