Game's broke, can't get past login screen. Tried everything including clearing credentials, removing dlc, deleting the appdata files, reinstalling the game, mobile number instead of email, etc... Sucks because playing halo on PC is genuinely fun especially the campaigns.

Ghost Ship Games don't miss. By far the best season system and I wish more games would adopt their mentality. Each content drop feels like an expansion on game mechanics and introduce new threats that range from minor nuisance to DDR Expert difficulty tournament edition and for a PvE game, I think that's fine. Haz 5 has never felt impossible, imo the "worst" seasons were the plague being introduced and expanded but I think the devs learned a lot from the aches that they introduced. My main gripe with the season was how cumbersome and repetitive the rockpox got sometimes which is relatively minor since I still enjoyed playing the game even when I had to cleanse plaguehearts. The most recent season as of posting introduced one of my favourite mission types (Drillevator) and brought a variety of interesting core upgrades to weapons.

Missions aren't capped by time just your ammo which allows you to get into some dumb shenanigans inside each mission type. This is a game best played with friends or with randoms, carrying greenbeards doesn't feel bad (unless you're one of those optimize the fun out of games types) and I rarely if ever have a mission ever fail outright on Haz 4 while teaching my greenbeard friends. People will go down, even in the highest difficulties. Most importantly, the community is one of the best in the gaming sphere. Endlessly supportive, even when I was learning the game on my own or with an old friend of mine. Every so often you will meet one of *those* people like I said but far less frequently than Helldivers 2.

The game is INCREDIBLY grindy, but not in a bad way. You can get through like 8 hours of missions and see decent progress on a/multiple dwarves depending on a variety of factors (including 2XP missions which stack with Seasonal 2XP). You can play with all the weapons on all Hazard difficulties without losing out on much. There are stronger options sometimes, but you're never punished for not using meta weapons/cores, again, even in Haz 5. This game gets a gold star in my books and should be studied for its PvE game mechanics, balancing and of course, their season system.

Edit 2 (2024/11/01): They have kept to their promise, bots still haven't infested the game in months which is good, scream fortress has been bot free though I have been seeing some basic micspam bots that just spew out speeches from Trump. A player known as WALGO (iirc?) has been terrorizing Borneo servers with an out of bounds glitch on third (as bad as cactus canyon first for those who remember) but otherwise the game *is* in a playable state for now. How long that'll last? Who knows.

Edit 1 (2024-07-11): While we have seen a large and ongoing banwave with bots I still want to keep this as a negative review as for now and in my honest opinion, its just a matter of time till Valve abandons the game again and it returns to its near unplayable state. If this upkeep continues then I'll probably change my review back to positive as it shows valve has clearly heard us and understands that they, at minimum, have to maintain their live service game enough to be playable.

Casual is unplayable and you want to release a new PvP shooter in the midst of one of the worst botting crisis' in the history of gaming? I hope that if you dont implement fixes that Deadlock gets the same treatment from the bot hosters.

#FixTF2 is not over, we still have a long way to go.

TL:DR at the bottom

Arrowhead has made immense improvements to the overall system since I last made my review. All the weapons are good to use at minimum and fill their roles well. I still feel that the Assault Rifles are underwhelming and outclassed by the SMGs (especially the Knight now) but I'm sure they'll eventually find their niche or I haven't found that niche yet. It's still a bit strange that no Primary has Heavy Penetration with just the Revolver secondary having access to it, not that I mind the Senator being a Big Iron just feels as if the Adjudicator or Liberator Penetrator just don't make sense at the moment.

If I were to make any suggestions its to bump the standard Liberator up to Medium Penetration with the Adjudicator and Liberator Penetrator up to Heavy Penetration. Same goes with the JAR-5 Dominator as, while it packs a punch and is amazing in some scenarios it feels like the gyrojet-esque heavy rifle doesn't quite have the punch it should have. If we had a variety of Heavy Penetrating rifles it would open up more flexibility to take other secondaries.

Difficulties-wise, I'd say that the game has found it's footing. Difficulties 1-3 feel much like launch, there's no struggle to solo either type using the lightest of light armours. As I'm returning and getting my footing back, I've launched into a few level 4-6 missions and also feel as if they properly reflect their names. If you solo these there's a very good chance you will die a few times in light armour. Sometimes you get redeployed into the middle of a entire battalion of bots or bugs which is frustrating as that will instantly kill you coming out of your hellpod but I'll chalk that up to not having the power steering upgrade for now. I've yet to go past those difficulties solo and usually dive with friends so levels 7-9 are TBD. It's nice to at least no longer be shredded by bots or bugs instantly upon starting an interaction with them though as it felt more like playing Tarkov and going into a labs raid with a Makarov and no armour.

Stratagems have overall been improved so much that I struggle to decide what to bring in for missions. Everything (except the machine guns) has it's own use or is effective to use. Sentries, without ammo or health upgrades, feel very much like playing a tower defence game and are no longer using wet tissue for armour and spitballs for ammunition. They shred through hordes of infantry units and can reliably stagger and kill Devastator units. The Anti-Material rifle still feels like it should have the same penetration as the railgun (though it should still take more shots than it) as most anti-material rifles can penetrate most things given the right ammunition. Plus, I don't think the bots are using Titanium armour or ceramic plates for their tanks (as far as we know). Being able to shoot into the barrel of Annihilator tanks/Cannon Turrets or Missile Tubes of the Barrager would be a nice addition to either disable or outright destroy the unit with weapons that have Heavy Piercing (like how we can disable Devastator arms/rocket pods using medium penetration).

Some Boosters have still yet to find their use, either being entirely outclassed, too niche or functionally useless at the moment. That's all I really have to say on that.

Overall though, I have to hand it to Arrowhead for wrangling and rebalancing as much as they have for the 60 day plan they had. Hearing all the improvements to the game made me return and seeing them for myself convinced me to go out of my way to suggest my friend's give it a shot again now that most their grievances have been fixed. I give it a 7.5/10 for too little Democracy.

TL:DR Weapons good, difficulties reflect their names and Stratagems 90% fixed. Enjoy no longer being a wet tissue in all loadouts.

Decent story with outstanding gameplay. The first instalment was an amazing return to form for the series as a stealth action game with the return of 47's dry humour, the second game, though weaker story wise especially without the aid of animated cut scenes being traded out for still frames with voice over work it still has it's own charm and builds upon the foundation of the first with an emphasis on scaling up the playable area more and tougher contracts. The third is definitely the pinnacle story wise, making 47 into a killer with a conscious regained and not poorly executed like that of absolution. It's done satisfyingly and tactfully with the final mission truly being an amazingly satisfying buildup as you quickly navigate through what starts as an icy clinical interior to a truly icy exterior coated in snow and a raging blizzard as you navigate each car stealthing your way through or allowing you the option to go guns blazing for extra dramaticism with challenge to match. The final cut scenes were the cherry on the top giving an open ending and a satisfying conclusion for 47's regained consciousness pinning him as a morally grey instead of having things be so black and white. Overall the new trilogy has done an excellent job at rekindling my love of stealth action games while not sacrificing game play or depth of world/character in favour of poorly cobbled together triple A projects that have similar or even higher production budgets.

Let me start by saying this isn't your average fps game so controls will feel maclunky until you get used to them. Mobile Suits control as if they have weight to them which means you will be floaty in space and chunky on ground.

To all those complaining about the server issues I'm not sure bandai let alone the developers expected 18k+ players to all log in within the first few hours of launch. Once server issues are fixed this will be a solid game.

Edit as I can no longer give this game a positive review. Between rippers, the devs being egotists who actively harm their community, EAC, paywalling/"limiting" features behind VRC+ and recent moves to make the game less adult friendly for "the sake of the children" while no actual moderation goes into the game, the people behind vrc have now proven time and time again that other platforms (Like Chillout which is soon getting Quest support) is nothing but corporate mishandling bred from voluntary ignorance out of spite and narcissism.

This is to say a lot about my experience as I've met my friend group through here, multiple if we're being real. The thing is, if you don't have a friend group and you wish to find one you have to go through the nightmare ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of public lobbies where 99% of people are horny, 12 years old or both. I rarely if ever see crashers anymore, moreso trolls who spit the same slop and drivel and this is no thanks to the Moderation team. Slacking off would be an understatement and I'd argue that Roblox has a better staff team than this game. Speaking of which if you think Roblox has a grooming and paedophilia problem this game doesn't even need an underground for it as, like I said before, children as young as 12 and sometimes younger are part of groups advertising sexual aspects or just stating such in their bio with little to no repercussion in the biggest worlds available.

This game would've been better off it had been restricted to 18+ and moderation was actually done, go play chillout or neos or even Roblox ffs. There is little substance to be gained from this game besides what you make in private instances with friends.

If you played Tekkit Classic or any tech based minecraft modpack, this is the game for you. Building, crafting, wiring, taming a lizard doggo, linking conveyors and pipes it's all so...satisfactory

If you ever wanted to feel like a chaingun wielding, mighty morphing greataxe having, giant pokey z00mstick using badass while shelling, smashing, slashing and piercing monsters twice your size and more this is the game for you. The only downsides to this game is the long ass hand holdy tutorial, greatsword weebs knocking you out of combos and the nonexistant at best lipsyncing to the English version. If you can get past those things and a bit of material grinding you'll have a blast playing alone, with friends or with あいゆきなち who will absolutely carry your ass through a quest. Side note, the big weapons are slow and do big numbers while the smaller weapons are fast and do small numbers. Never diss your Hunting Horn bois because they will destroy every orifice on your body while they wail on the monster and play phat beats.
