Good spoopy game

I'm actually going to review this like a proper person, which I normally never do. I want to keep in mind that I first played this as a child on the PS3 (only a quarter way through), and then completed on PC years later. This game is one of my first RPG experiences.

The Pros:
-Great story, when you complete the game it really makes you feel like you've made an impact in the in-game world.
-Fantastic art, as to be expected with any game that is tied with Studio Ghibli.
-Expansive world. for the time this game was initially released - for RPGs, I presume the world was quite expandable and in my opinion was fun to explore.
-The music is brilliant, and I even like to listen to it on my free time.

The Cons:
-The backtracking is this game is sorta ridiculous even though later in the game you can go to places with a dragon, ship and spell - its still very exhausting.
-Considering that the main POS of this game was that it was a Ghibli-esque game, the animated scenes are very few and far between after visiting DIng Dong Dell.
-The combat can be very hit or miss, I would consider playing this game mostly for the story.
-Last but not least, my biggest con is the repetitiveness. After gathering around 20 hours on this game you realised its almost the same music for every map, the battles are the same, as well as the bosses being the biggest contributes of this.

In conclusion, this is a fantastic game and I think that for any fan of Ghibli or whimsical settings that this is the game for you - however, if you're going to play this game mostly for the combat I will give a second thought.
