Love the attention to detail! The lighting inside is great -- a little dark in some areas, but I think that's my monitor. Cute buildings to rummage through and some jump scares :) Audio control would be a nice setting addition! The Dev mentioned this is his first project from scratch, and it's an awesome start. Love the ambiance!

**8/28 Update**
Love the new weapons. The melee is cool. The response time switching between dmg types seems a little laggy. As in, I'll Shoot, then hit my Melee key, but will not Melee on that click. Also, the Blue Phantoms... not sure if they're tricky to dodge, or if I'm just getting old. All in all, lots of fun! Enjoying the new Elements, too. They seem a bit more balanced.

**5/11 Update:**
I really appreciate the dev response and acknowledgement on this.
I realized after purchasing the game that it was meant to be free with previous purchases. There are steps in the Discussion board on how to acquire it, if it was not automatically added to a Library (Check if you qualify if you haven't purchased the game yet). Not a big deal in my opinion; Never bad to support the developer.
Lots of QoL updates are coming out constantly which I personally appreciate; Glitch fixes (like the pump shotgun), and overall feel is good.
And this may be in my head, but as the difficulty increases, it seems that the AI becomes smarter. All too often bosses become bullet sponges or you just get one-shot which could be argued is a lazy way to increase game difficulty. So I do want to call out the enemy AI in this game.

**Original:**
I hate how much I love these games.
TLDR: As a lover this game, I say Buyer Beware.
I was a Starsiege loyalist, so it broke my heart when the servers went down. I'm curious if Prophecy went from Unreal 4 to Unreal 5 in the process, and that is why it is a whole new game -- although it appears all assets have been recycled. I don't know the logistics of migrating from one engine to another, so I cannot speak entirely to the Copy + Paste of Starsiege to Rogue.
The gunplay feels great. The difficulty is fairly well balanced for being in Beta; There are a lot of QoL changes from Starsiege to Rogue that I like. The skill tree is neat and not overwhelming, and my favorite part are the elemental affixes you can get on weapons. They have some cool and unique procs and I am interested to see where Prophecy takes this.

Concerns: My concern is they will give this the Starsiege treatment, and move on from this game. It has potential, and I am hopeful with the upfront pay vs. relying on people buying a battle pass or founder package, they will have more funding to continue to development this game..

Critique of Prophecy: Some acknowledgement of the likeness to previous game(s) should be made by Prophecy. People who 'invested' in the founder's packs would appreciate some sort of acknowledgement and/or incentive. Instead, we got left behind with a server closing note, and then this game appeared some time later. For a game company, the player base is your lifeline.

PROS & CONS. Marvel Rivals is a beautiful game with fresh game-play and great character design. As a support main, I find that the dev team keeps a fair balance between the classes and characters within them. Game modes are fun and straightforward.
The Con is ranked. If you know, you know. But an 8 / 10 / 0 Venom with 1 final hit saying "heal diff" throughout the match is BEST case scenario. Ranked is based on a flat win/lose basis and has no factor for individual contribution. If you're just hopping into ranked, get ready to be hard stuck Gold / Plat with ego-ridden teammates.
My hope is that they are planning to implement a weight system where your K \ D \ A has an impact on points received. Otherwise it's Russian Roulette and luck is not on your side.

Super fun game! The levels are challenging, but not frustratingly so. The colors and music are relaxing and enjoyable. 10/10 recommend; worth the game + DLC for sure!

V Rising is structured very well as far as progression is concerned. It is somewhat similar to that of Valheim, but with more 'levels' so to speak; More bosses that act as the tier completion I would say. It's definitely fun and addicting. The cosmetics are awesome if you enjoy beautiful gothic architecture and furniture.

It offers a good balance of challenge; You can fight fairly comfortably within your gear level, or you can go for a bigger challenge and push into areas with enemies 2-5 levels higher.

I have really only played solo, and that's probably the only thing I'd change. I would have liked to have a server with a few other people on it working collectively.

Either way if you're playing solo or with friends/the community, this is a great game to dump hours into.

Great addition to the Room series. Very enjoyable, with a new take but similar feel to the others. Definitely recommend!

This is a great co-op or solo game. Balances well when playing with folks with significant level differences. I agree with another reviewer, I feel like I've gotten my money's worth and then some. Wonderful game worth trying out if you like any kind of shooter.
