This game is not a civ game. Just because it is in the same genre does not make a direct comparison with between the two accurate. So, if you can expecting a civ game then you will be sorely dissapointed.

There are several things that this game does right amoung them is the art dirrection and overall atmosphere of the entire game. The music, made by FlyByNo, fits in seamlessly with the art to create a very immersive experience.
With all the factions each being uniquely diffrent and focused on a diffrent aspect of the game there can be some issues with the balanceing, however overall the game is relatively balanced.

The weakest companent of the game is the hex based combat. With how fair the auto combat system is there is rarely any reason to personaly play out the fights. As a benifit the game does not pause durring these fights as they are performed right on the map, and one can perform other actions as the fight happens checking in occationaly if one wants or skip the cinematics entirely and just obtain a result.

In conclusion this is a very good game with a rather unique world direction with just a few downsides.
