Anyone else uninstall reinstall, Admin, Non admin. Reboot, change install drive and still not be able to access the game they just paid 100$ for?

As long as you go in understanding it's not fully developed yet it's a great time killer. There isn't a ton of enemy variate but this is planned to change I believe. Also for a rouge-like game that's free it's great. Give it a go with a few friends.

Buy the game not the DLC the game downloads all the content (Including the dlc stuff). Use this information as you please lol.

Icarus is both casual and hardcore survival game. I think they very well cater to both groups. I'd personally recommend this game to people who like hardcore games that are grindy. The elements of earning a bunch of stuff for more missions is really enjoyable for me personally. This game isn't like minecraft in my opinion and if you are looking for a game to just build your cool structures this isn't it at least not yet. (To my understanding this game is considered a full release although really doesn't feel like it is.)

After the most recent changes to allow free to play users to use items up to a certain gear score; I decided to change my review to recommended. The game is fun and even more fun with friends

Absolutely horrendous and unfun due to QOL things missing. For example the game never ever EVER explains wtf a blade is or how to use it. A good amount of the time attacks point blank will not go exactly where they say they will even when the red ring is exactly on target. Unsure if it's a odds thing or what it's never explained. There is no control option to find out what the blade is or any way to set keybind for moment??? There is no way to speed up the game other then when it first opens with a double click. You must watch your own furstring mistake take 10 seconds to end your game long enough that's annoying but short enough that restarting isn't faster. You also can't open the pause menu to restart a run quickly when you notice you've made an error. I don't understand as a developer how you can think to add a "speedrun" toggle but then expect your playerbase to sit in slowness.

This has been the issue for about the last 2 years and nothing I do fixes it.

If this game ever becomes available to buy; Don't. They originally had to take the game down from steam due to using NFTs. When this happened they moved to EpicGamesStore and made the game cost money. In doing so they forced everyone who had choose to support the game by buying skins in game and the battle pass to also then pay another 5$ to get access to the game again. I originally asked on there discord if they would gift keys to people who had it on steam to epic so we wouldn't have to buy it again and was outright told no. Epic doesn't charge money for keys so it would of cost the company nothing to be courteous to keep the active player base that cared and wanted to pay but felt ripped off for being told to pay again. Eventually like half a year later they did go free to play on Epic Games Store but at that point I assumed the worst of this company which really sucks because I've actively had voice calls with the developers and they seemed like cool people so I wonder how much of it is exects being overboard vs actual developers having control.

To the content of the game now. They use to do these event missions where you get a story based mission that tells a story to hype up events and new seasons of cosmetics. These missions are the only thing left in the game. They took the "story" missions for events and slapped them together to attempt to make a story. As someone who has put a stupid amount of time into this game and was apart of tourneys I can confirm the content they "added" and now want to sell as a full game is just missions that they already had as timed events and as far as it goes for quality of the missions from my memory of them 2 years ago no one wanted to do them we just did them because they game cosmetics and boosts for things in game. I also have once again played the first mission which is how I know it's just those event missions and went and checked the names of them all and went omg... they reused like 75% of event missions to make a story mode... I had no interest in continuing from that point. Not even for nostalgia

TLDR; game left steam to do NFTs made game cost money when leaving steam didn't give keys to past players who bought skins and support game then took the stuff that was quickly slapped together event missions for a short time and turned them into a poorly connected story.

Enjoying the game I had an issue with the game disabling my mouse but after using some diff drivers for my mouse it solved the issue.

Definitely quite a bit of a different game tho not sure how to really explain it so give it a try yourself :)

Reminds me of escape from tarkov if it was a gamemode based game.

Can confirm is a good game

Main point is if you like hard rogue games this is it chief. That and platforming can make you feel like you're a god sometimes when you pull off crazy moves
Had a blast playing through and beating it.
