I've had sleep paralysis for years and it's actually pretty fun once you get used to it. For example I have a pretty loud speaker setup in my room, so I turned on some gangster rap and induced sleep paralysis. When I opened my eyes I saw a face with black features on my ceiling made entirely of elevated pixels that pulsed in tune with the music. I was also floating upward by my chest in an almost orgasmic state. It's all a mind game, but I suppose I haven't had many bad experiences to instill fear.
