Honestly, I get launch Payday 2 vibes from the current state of the game--what I mean is, there's some weird design issues that are seemingly constantly being tweaked and the content is a little light with the developers promising and so far delivering on there being more to come, yet even then I can't say I don't enjoy it. In fact, it's good dumb fun and I believe it to be a worthy Payday 2 spiritual successor. Sure, some of the mechanics works slighter different from how they did Payday... but the meat and potatoes are the same. It's easily worth your time and money, especially when on deep discount.

At the time of writing this review, I have only started 24 of 50 games. I have completed 11 of those games, and cherried only 10 of them (which means either played to 100% or completed a hard challenge depending on the game). Even though I have yet to even experience half of the game, I can confidently say that UFO 50 is phenomenal.

To be clear, I have not loved every single one of the games I've tried so far in this, but I think that it was intentionally designed to be that way. Some of the games in here are purposefully very obtuse in order to emulate the feel of some of the real life games of the early 80's and before. Some games are simply part of a genre I don't like. And some games are so challenging that I just don't want to bother mastering them right now when I still have other games to experience. But none of these games are poorly made, and I honestly have yet to try anything that I really dislike.

UFO 50 offers 50 high quality retro inspired games, and while only a dozen or so of them could truly stand on their own as a full experience by today's standards of length, it is such a nice bundle that keeps finding new ways to surprise me. I highly recommend it.

Even I would admit that Overwatch's glory days are long gone. My complaints are the usual suspects: 5v5 is worse than 6v6, balancing is a mess and is always in flux, new heroes tend to feel more MOBA-like than FPS based... and yet I still find myself itching to play it in month-long spurts every now and again. It's not an easy recommend like some other games in the genre, but for some casual fun? If that's what you're looking for then, well--yeah, it is worth occasionally spending some time with. For that reason, I do still recommend Overwatch.

Detached from my reasoning for recommending it, I will also say that Overwatch is hardly deserving of being one of the lowest rated games on Steam. Have you seen some of the detritus listed here?

Classic rhythm game goodness that feels as if it was published by Konami back then, and I mean that in the best way possible. It's nice to see such an awesome game with a long history come from Korea when-let's face it-most games that come from the region aren't great. You're in for a good time if you decide to buy it. Just be warned that there is always online DRM, and as such, a constant internet connection is required to play.

My review for the beta said "The game is sure to offer at least some enjoyment to anyone who likes platform fighters like Smash Bros.", and I think that's still an apt review, however the game is largely in a worse state than it was before which makes it a bit harder to recommend. I wrote a list of pros and cons compared to the beta, but for some reason steam reloaded the page and I lost all of that I typed so... instead I will just say that if you are a completely new player who is considering to try this, be aware that you get very little for free now and character unlock progression is very slow.

A charming and well crafted platformer that any DKC fan would enjoy. There is an occasional rough edge you might notice here and there and the majority of the assets are taken straight from the original Yooka-Laylee game, but neither of those things detract from the overall experience because the majority of the game is very well crafted--It's an easy recommend.

This game is surprisingly fun and highly re-playable despite it's simplicity, and this is coming from someone who prefers action oriented games. It's an easy recommend considering the only price you need to pay will be the hours lost playing it.

Black Mesa is a wonderful re-imagining of the original Half-Life game that stays true to Valve's vision for that classic, all while thoroughly refreshing the entire experience. Whether you played the original game or not, if this seems at all like something you would like, then you probably would.

Early Access Review
If there's a genre that Steam is lacking, it'd probably be rhythm games. This game is a breath of fresh air not only because if fits in that role nicely, but because it stands out on its own as great fun with a relatively small price tag.
