I've played thousands of hours of Civilization and yet there are many confusing things in the game such as the trade routes and road building which are not explained well and the interface just doesn't make sense.

I ran into a religious crisis which caused all of my cities to revolt until the end of the age and I couldn't do anything about it, my cities and towns just burned themselves down. Please rebalance this or put some limits into how bad it can be. This was absurd.

Slow animations, we need an option for players who want to click fast and move fast.

The era progress screen always just goes to the first screen even if you aren't tracking that one. When you make progress it doesn't take you to the one that you progressed on. At least take us to one we are tracking or the last one we looked at.

Hard to tell what is happening but it seems like the AI likes to destroy independents if I'm close to becoming suzerain. They seem to be very focused on doing so rather than just competing for it. Also it seems they can jump in and beat you at becoming suzerain without giving you notice. I got a notification about it when they were 1 turn from beating me and I wasn't even aware I was competing with another civ.

The core game feels really good but please fix all the annoying things or this will become my least played civ game ever.
