TLDR: Artificially "difficult" game from tryhard developers with way too many flaws.

Honestly, after beating the game, I cannot recommend it. Here are some of my observations and opinions:

Enemy placement is extremely troll, DS2 level of troll before SotFS. Absolutely terrible and unoriginal. After the first few such encounters, you just know that there will be more enemies there to screw you over when you see loot.

Flask upgrade system is terrible, some of the later on upgrade materials are hidden like a secret, intentinally stopping you from maxing your flask.

Umbral would have been okay if there wasn't the annoying "eye" mechanic making you rush things and not explore which is connected to the above point, where you need to look, really look for the flaks upgrades.

There are no unique movesets, not for boss weapons, nothing. Basically whichever weapon type you choose all weapons sharing this weapon type will have the same move set.

There is no enemy variety. You literally fight the same mobs the entire game. Most of the "tougher" enemies are introduced as bosses, then you see them all over the place. From my counting there are probably around 50 enemy types roughly in the entire game and you fight them through the entire game, which makes it extremely boring, thus they artificially increase the difficulty with the above mentioned enemy placement.

Vestige seeds are 70% of the time useless as the game is filled with shortcuts and most seed placements are literally pointless as a real vestige is close by.

Lastly, bosses are extremely easy, I first-tried most of the bosses with only a couple needing no more than 5 tries which is embarrasing. You progress through an area expecting a tough boss at the end to then just first time them. The move sets are really easy to dodge/predict, only the later couple of bosses were "tough", but artificially, again, which seems the trend for this game, as they one or two-shot you.
