I've plays a lot of RPGs in my time, from tabletop to online to open world, and Fallout New Vegas has to be one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

The world is probably not big in size but there is a lot of things to do and often it feels bigger than it actually is because of the atmopshere, the coloring, the locations and NPCs. It gives you the feeling of the wasteland without it actually beeing a wastland without anything important for miles. Also every place has its own atomphere, you feel differently when standing on the New Vegas Strip compared to how you feel in the ruins of Freeside or in the town of Goodspings. It also changes depending on how far you're into the game, from the almost naive quest for revenge when you set off to the endgame feeling once you learn how high the stakes are and how dangerous the factions at war can be.

It offers a lot of memorable characters, even side characters who will remain with you in one way or another. The companions are fully rounded people who change depending on your choices and the outcomes of their own stories. You have your own morality constantly questioned between doing something good or something that might seem bad but its for the greater good. All your actions affect how the world around you changes, even the most seemingly meaningless NPCs. And you have absolute freedom about who and how you kill or spare - you can finish the game with minimal bloodshed or kill every person in sight.

And the writing is excellent. It goes from the typical macabre humor, to some light hearted moments, to its fair share of heartwarming scenes and finally deep philosophical questions about human nature and its societies. No matter what layer of writing you'll choose to look into - whether a lighthearted funny courier, a serious lone ranger or perhaps someone who dwells into the core of capitalism and imperialism as social systems - you will have so much content surrounding it.

So bottom line I absolutely recommend Fallout: New Vegas for every lover of RPGs and I do hope if you decide to pick it up you will have as much fun with it as I did!
