I have thoroughly enjoyed this game. The low requirements means it is great for my laptop and is the main game I play there. With over 150 hours in and I'm finally really going. WIth my ADHD, I had about 5 different games going, trying out all sorts of combinations. I think I may be on the one I'll actually finish the game with. There is some variation to character building, so on other playthroughs you can do different classes or the same classes with different skill sets. You can pick different companions, etc... In general, a good RPG game. This makes me very willing to buy the sequel in the future, even if my laptop can't handle it.

This is a pretty good computerized port of the Pathfinder Adventures Card game. I have all the different sets of the games and have enjoyed this single player computer version. It is card based (obviously) with each character having their own small deck of weapons, armor, items, spells, allies and blessings. You have to clear out a certain number of lcoations looking for the main villain. "closing" locations cuts off escape areas for the villain. The deck is both your life and your items. If you ever run out, you are 'dead.' It's a good port of a card game. Enjoy it for what it is.

OK.... I don't know how to describe this well.
It's a board game. You are a character with different attack, defense and evade stats.
You have a deck of cards that allow you do things: traps, events, etc
As you play the games, you earn stars. You use stars to buy more cards, characters, etc...

The game play is: roll the dice and move. At intersections you can choose your direction.
The squares are loose stars, draw a card, fight a monster and... bases(?) for lack of a better word.

At a base, you heal a hip point and see if you completed a goal.
goals are collecting a certain number of stars or defeating a certain number of foes (players or encounter squares).
When you achieve enough goals - YOU WIN! WOOT! Then you can move to the next board.

Oh, and you can loose stars. by tiles to land in or by loosing battles. Like another player lands on your sorrow rear right after you got smacked by a tile fight and does that 1 point (the character I am using only has 5) of damage that knocks you out.

You respawn... each round you roll a die. You have to roll a .... 6(?) to respawn at first. Each successive round, that number goes down until you eventually will respawn. meanwhile, the other players keep going, walking by your unconscious body like a person who is afraid of getting sued if they try to help you.

It's a bit repetitive. It might be more interesting if all the character comments were in English. I don't speak Japanese, as much as I wish I could. I knew that the dialogue was in Japanese ahead of time, so it isn't like I can complain - I'm not that pathetic of a person.

So yeah, it's kind of fun. But repetitive. VERY repetitive. Like over and over repetitive. I've only won 2 boards, so I haven't gotten that far. but it's fun in a repetitive please shoot me in the crotch with a shotgun full of rocksalt kind of way. I don't see myself playing it a whole lot, but who knows... maybe my other 467 games will suddenly look worse than this.
