it's a sweet little game. no big story, no enemies, no deaths. just a quite and beautiful world which you gradually expand and receive new skills to traverse through.

a great spiritual successor of sim tower with some things like elevators being more simplified but others like leasing of units with more depth. you will have to plan a lot and your first building may perhaps look not that good but if you know what needs to be done you can create some magnificent skyscrapers.
there are some different "maps" that allow for different shapes (wide, narrow) or even more than one building if you like. the game provides a lot of ways to express your creativity.
7,5/10 good management sim.

this game is so much fun i had to buy the original reigns for my mobile. knowing the series is a big plus to get some jokes. great value game and nice concept. in the end you just decide between two options by swiping but it keeps you on your toes somehow ;)

i'll make it short. it's very much like left 4 dead but with way superior melee and a more interesting setting (to me). it's fast, it's slick, looks good, is brutal and gets your blood pumping (sound, atmosphere)
and you roll dice to get loot after a successful mission who doesn't like that.

besides the not so awesome story this is one hell of a game.
an awesome power fantasy with some nice levels and not a single one that sucked. i liked the game so much that i started a new playthrough right after my first, pacifistic one. the powers rock, the design and style is fresh and the world it shows is incredible. there's so much to find out about it that you wonder why the story wasn't more original in the end but it has it's different endings, which is cool.
it is no open world which appeals to me and it is more like deus ex: human revolution (but first person) than say the original thief if you need a comparison. you have your hubs and get your missions that you can solve in different ways. dishonored can be played like a shooter but it really isn't meant to and you feel that the creators want the player to be that stealthy, swift assassin.
the two part dlc "knife of dunwall/ brigmore witches" is also incredible good and gives you another take on this rude and unknown world.
it was my favorite game of 2012 and i would recommend it very, very much.

After completing this game for a forth time I'll take the time to write down some words about it. Bastion belongs to those rare pieces I would recommend to everyone even non-players. It has a great story with a very nice ending. Top-notch action RPG gameplay with cool weaponry and responsive controls. The characters and how you meet them is very well done. The graphics are beautiful, the style, the color palette... everything is so well executed and is just stunning. But there's one thing tying all that together - the sound design and the soundtrack. Darren Korb, the composer, created a masterpiece in my opinion. I bought the soundtrack after my first playthrough and not only does it belong to my top ten of all time on last.fm but I hear it whenever I want to go back to that place in my mind. It plays at work, at home or while driving around. It is, without exaggeration, truly fantastic. Also the voiceactors and especially the narrator are amazing. He responds directly to what the Kid is doing in-game and has such a pleasent, deep voice. He also "narrates" my DotA2 games!
Bastion is, without a doubt, one of the best games ever created.

spine-chilling, incredibly creepy and sometimes very disturbing. the puzzles are not too hard but sometimes quite tricky. this platformer will be solved in 2 - 4 hours BUT it's abolutely worth it imo. the design and atmosphere kick in from the very first minute. after 50% of the game i still didn't know what was going on but it kept me playing. the sense of timing is great, the controls are very accurate and the sound is top-notch. i advise playing LIMBO at night/in the dark .
