The ground gameplay in Odyssey can be a bit clunky, but there's a charm in sending a rocket into a group of troops dropping from a ship and seeing them ragdoll in low gravity.

Odyssey truly feels like it rounds out the game, and provides alternative avenues to many of the paths in the game. The additional planetary stations and exobiology alone are worth it alone from a gameplay standpoint.

A stunning game with incredible depth of gameplay and possibilities.

The grind is the game. There's no way around it. The beauty is in the sights you see and friends you make along the way.

This game has an amazing community, full of players dedicated to launching rescue missions to worlds in distress, celebrating money, fighting off aliens, or simping for their chosen Duval.

The options are truly endless, and whether you enjoy playing solo or winging up with friends, there's something for everyone. I dabbled in space trucking, exploration 25k light years out, sightseeing at the center and roof of the galaxy, hunting pirates, stealth assassinating NPCs, and promoting the power of capitalism and money through LY-R. After 250 hours, I still feel like there's an infinite number of options to explore. Alien sites to scavenge, blueprints to unlock, and the secrets of the universe at my fingertips.

Where do I start with this one?

Sunrider was my first VN, and it's been a long road to get here. I think Captain's Return is a much needed reset or palate cleanser after Liberation Day.

I spent a few days reliving peak Sunrider nostalgia with this one, and ended up falling in love with the characters all over again. In a sense, Captain's Return is very similar to Mask of Arcadius, We spend some time getting the crew together, we spend some time gathering allies and exploring the geopolitical landscape of the galaxy, and then we ramp up into fighting the big bad.

The visuals are good, the VAs are on point, and the music is great. The story pacing is a little off, but honestly I didn't care that much. It's ok.

The new combat system is incredibly fun after you get used to it. As always, the best defense is a good offense, because they can't kill you if they're dead. But you don't have to play that way, and you can instead turtle up, bleed momentum, and form a sniper's nest for Sola. The new combat plane creates so many new avenues of combat and I can't wait to see where it can go. (Asaga and Icari are broken)

I'm ambivalent with the other modes, I don't really care for the rat race modes and the puzzle maps were mostly tedious, if somewhat interesting to solve the first time around.

Overall, I'm not sure if it's worth full price if you won't get hit by the nostalgia bomb, but a good game and worth a try.

(Please buy and play the game so the foil card price goes down.)

A beautiful sequel to the first HotK. More locations, more in depth trading/crafting, and a more elaborate storyline compose a wonderful adventure/hidden items game. More than twice as long as the first game with some hidden side quests.

Great game all around, and relatively easy to 100%.

Glorious nostalgia.
Great game for casual players and completionists.
A little bit on the expensive side for what it offers (I'm only missing one achievement after over 4 hours of gameplay), but it offers a smashing time.

A really nice puzzle game that I end up being on the fence about. The music, art, and design are incredibly beautiful and relaxing. The gameplay, however, can be frustrating. If you get stuck you have to click dozens of dragonflies to get your next hint, and the game doesn't give you any other guidance. That said, you can find guides and simply enjoy the game for its design.

I'd say buy it on sale unless you really enjoy puzzle games. As far as the puzzles themselves go they're pretty nice, challenging but not too much.
