I bought this thinking it was going to be a basic simulator. No expectations other than that. A basic plot, a reason to work and tear down these spaceships. Cool. Little did I know that there was an actually storyline going on in this game.

Landmark storytelling it isn't, but to have a story revolve around my day-to-day breaking things I was completely surprised by good character development and a telling story about coorporate greed and union rights. I admit I actually teared up at the 'end'. Fortunately the end still lets you continue on and work.

As for the meat of the game, it is also surprisingly well done. Solid interface, easy to understand breakpoints with plenty of challenges that just get harder as you get better. Plus being able to upgrade your equipment and gear makes things better. The ships themselves have a little character with audio logs, leftover food and items that makes it feel lived in. It has time or two made me wonder what the ship has done in its lifespan.

I do admit that in time the ship start to feel the same. I cut the same points, find a good strategy to rip apart the same way each time... that can start to feel old after awhile. I'd like to someday see different designs come into play or maybe put our own ship into use and teardown larger ships or maybe even bases or ports.

So, I highly recommend this if you like a good story and like to just sit back, relax and break things apart and sort out the pieces.

Amazing environment, enjoyable gameplay and lots to do. Very fun to play if you have a computer that can take the graphics required to showcase the New Orleans clone.
